    About A Hot Hideout

    In 2020, four young NTU students with a shared passion for Mala came together to co-found “A Hot Hideout.” Their mission was crystal clear: to transform Mala into an unforgettable experience rather than a mere meal. They envisioned a welcoming space where people could come together and bond over their mutual adoration for this beloved dish. Devoting countless hours to research and development, their unwavering determination ultimately resulted in the creation of the delectable Mala dish now served in their three outlets today.

    Mala first originated from Sichuan province where it is renowned for its bold and spicy cuisine. As this beloved dish slowly gained international recognition, it has undergone various regional adaptations and modifications to suit different diverse palates. 

    At A Hot Hideout, their meticulously crafted Mala broth is simmered for hours, using high-quality pork and chicken bones to extract every bit of flavour. Infused with a powerful blend of Sichuan peppercorns, dried chillies, and traditional aromatic herbs and spices, our broth delivers a slight numbing tingling sensation on your lips and tongue that will sure pack a punch with every mouth.
