    Public Reviews:

“The Nasi Lemak served at this restaurant is considered quite pricey by Singaporean standards. The food quality is good, especially with the rich coconut fragrance of the rice. However, the cost doesn’t seem justified, given that you can find a similar meal three times cheaper at a hawker center. Also, considering the less-than-convenient location, it might be more sensible to opt for more budget-friendly options elsewhere.”

“My wife and I shared a plate of Nasi Lemak with Ayam Berempah Leg, Classic Laksa, Double Grass Jelly Drink & a Chendol Ice Cream for lunch. Laksa is very “lemak” & one of the best in town in terms of taste. Nasi Lemak with Ayam Berempah Leg is very good with ikan bilis & nuts and chilli. The Double Grass Jelly Drink (which is combination of lemon grass and grass jelly) goes along well with the food. We ended with a Chendol ice cream which was fantastic. For people who prefer teh si or kopi si, they make it too and prices are reasonable. They also have Nonya “kueh kueh” set for dessert”

Hi Leskmi Nasi Lemak opened in 2002 and had its name derived from the Hindu goddess of wealth, health, fortune and prosperity, Lakshmi. It serves affordable Nasi lemak for below $5. Its rice is pandan flavoured which adds a nice twist to the whole meal and the sambal chilli was the perfect pair with the rice as it was not too spicy which is a good option for those who are not able to take spciy foods.

    Public reviews:

“I was walking around the market – the one on the right (Whampoa has 2 markets separated by a small road) – when I noticed quite a few people eating this dish. What really caught my attention was the slightly green coloured rice that I could only guess was pandan.

Meal was satisfying. Truth be told, I did not take time to savour the rice and could not tell if it was pandan flavoured. But with nasi lemak it’s really hard to go wrong.”

“Decent nasi lemak served with green fragrant rice. Coconut taste is present in the rice, chilli is not overpowering and ikan bilis complements the dish quite well. Fried chicken wing was not too tough nor soggy. $3.50 is also a decent price for the meal, which is slightly above standard to those nasi lemak stalls going for $2.50-$3.”

“This place is renowned to my colleagues who worked nearby (2 different companies).

The nasi lemak is pretty good with lots of variety of side dishes and if you want something healthier, there is also plain rice and non-fried dishes.

Prices is pretty reasonable and is a must go if you are around the area.”

“Have came here several times. Perfect choice for workday lunch.
There will be a queue in peak hours, but it moves fast.

The rice is fragrant, you could smell and taste a strong coconut flavor. And the texture of rice is also good, which is fluffy.

There are more than 20 ingredients to choose from. All of them are delicious. 3-4 are enough for one person.
You could also directly order sets, which is the pre-defined combinations of ingredients.
I’ve had a Variety Set, which costs $6.”

“Lessee known nasi lemak store but they certainly served one of the best nasi lemak.

They used the long grain for their rice and the rice is fragrant and fluffy. The sambal chilli was also different from the usual, less sweet and slightly spicier.

Prices have gone up though. Still, fully satisfied!

Parking: You may find parking at Gurithe house which is opposite to the coffee shop”

“The chicken wing is crispy and tasty with good spicy sambal. Use long grain rice. Flavorful rice. Chicken wing and fried egg $4. If add sambal petai another $4. Quite pricey to have $6 nasi lemak at coffee shop.

Parking: Can be quite challenging limited slots at sides lanes”

“Really yummy nasi lemak in this area but you’ve got to brave the snaking long queues during weekdays.

Chicken 🍗 well fried and marinated, the achar and the chili 🌶️ were really solid 💯.

Would give a 5 ⭐️ instead of a 4 is there is option to choose a sunny side 🍳 instead of a hard boiled one

$7.10 for the chicken 🍗 meal”

“Ordered the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng Berempah Whole Leg for S$8.70.

Chicken leg was tender, juicy and flavourful, really delicious, with a crispy, crunchy exterior.

Sides were also great, especially the
achar, which was sweet and slightly spicy.

However the rice lacked that signature coconut milk taste which was mildly disappointing.

Queue might be quite long depending on the time, it was around 1145-ish when I ordered, not too crowded.

Overall, a delicious meal, would definitely come back!”

but the food makes up for it, affordable meal price that includes drinks but the size of the drink was unacceptable because the food:drink ratio wasnt it 😭

ordered nasi ayam taliwang and the spice really hits good plus it was delicious !”

“Ordered the Wholesome Lemak Drumstick Set ($12.50), Sous Vide Beef Rendang Set ($14.80) and Bergedil ($1.20 each). Portion is really generous, we were stuffed by the time we finished our meal.

The rice has a subtle lemak taste, chilli is on the spicier and sweeter side. I love how they gave the fried crisps on the rice which added texture to the dish. Achar was good and flavourful, and I love how the egg is the Japanese Ajitama (flavour is subtle). The beef rendang was so soft and the gravy was so flavourful, I love it so much! The Lemak chicken was also good. Bergedil is whatever you expect it to taste 😂

Will patronise again if in the vicinity!”
