328 Katong Laksa
Katong Laksa 328 at United Square Mall truly deserves a super 5-star rating. This is one of those meals that reminds you why simple food, done right, can be so satisfying. The laksa is excellent. Rich, fragrant, and full of flavor without being overpowering. I ordered the large bowl and it was absolutely the right choice. Generous portion, very filling, and every spoonful was enjoyable from start to finish. The balance of coconut, spice, and seafood was spot on. The otah is also a standout. Well grilled, aromatic, and packed with flavor. Soft inside with just the right texture, it pairs perfectly with the laksa. I was genuinely amazed by how good everything was here. No fuss, no gimmicks, just very solid food that delivers exactly what you hope for. If you love laksa, this place is a must. I would happily come back again and again.
The laksa here has that familiar light, smooth, and silky broth — consistent with other branches. My usual pick is Set Meal A: laksa, otah, and a drink, with a top-up to M size plus extra taugeh and sambal (as in the photo). The cockles are small and bite-sized, which I actually prefer — they add flavour without being overwhelming. The broth isn’t as rich or spicy as some others, but it’s still comforting and easy to enjoy. The otah is decent though would’ve been better served warm. Service is great — the staff are courteous, cheerful, and always accommodating to custom orders.
Nice. Every month I will visit the United Sq branch. Sort of a habit, I have my facials in the area. Staff gd. The lady also remembers my usual order. One medium laksa, one otah & a lime juice. She is chatty and always friendly. Oh ya I bring my own quail eggs. Hahahaha 😆
Taste is quite there but Quite below standard, not there yet. The quality of the ingredients also questionable , frozen , out from the freezer. The thick beehoon, the hum , the shrimps , the otar is also cold. Suggest u dip in the broth for a while before eating .
I ordered myself a Large bowl of laksa as I was craving hard for it. Later then I find out that large size just means additional noodles. I find the prawns too tiny and did not have a nice size bite to it. Not satisfying at all and very pricey. Maybe because I know how to cook a good bowl of laksa so I become critical.
