85 Redhill Teochew Fishball Noodle

This small eatery, located in the basement of Plaza Singapura, has been around for quite a while. They offer a straightforward, reliable bowl of noodles, with both Bak Chor Mee and Fishball Noodles options available. Given the significant space constraints, it's not a place to linger, but it is definitely sufficient for a quick and satisfying meal.

Very rude and hostile staff serving the food. Customer was queuing for her turn, not knowing that the grumpy staff was preparing the food for another customer before her. This was because there was no customer standing there before her. While waiting, the customer whose food was ready, suddenly appeared and the irritated staff raised her voice to berate and tell off the poor waiting customer to not stand there as it was someone else's food. The staff seemed worked up and kept scolding the customer angrily and loudly on front of everybody, until the poor customer had to explain that she stood there because she was just waiting for her food, not trying to obstruct the other customer, who had not appeared earlier. The staff created an unnecessary scene when all she had to do was let the customer know nicely and politely that there was another customer who had not come to get his food yet, and would she mind leaving a space for him to appear and fetch his food. This kind of rude behaviour and attitude shown by the senior staff was totally uncalled for. A customer shouldn't have to tolerate such disrespectful treatment from a staff who's duty is to serve paying customers who show much more respect to her than she deserves.

Was out for a meeting nearby, saw there's available seating. Quickly ordered a signature set with a tea! Little place was fully packed! There are locals & foreigners alike - enjoying a simple fare - fishball noodles! Fishballs were QQ.... Noodles were cooked slight al-dente. Satisfying quick meal! Table wasn't too clean tho.

Not sure about the low rating but always have a great time dining here. 23May2025, Back twice since last visit, had the fish balls mee pok dry, it was fresh, freshly prepared and tasty as usual. Came at 11am and wasn’t crowded. Able to pay by credit card. Fabulous. I really enjoyed my mixed fish balls dried noodles, fresh and tasty. Nothing to fault really. Definitely will be back. (Less noodles as I asked for it) The meat ball was really good.

I’m glad this small eatery has remained strong over the years at Plaza Singapura basement. Value for money, fast to prepare, and friendly service. Can’t go wrong with their noodles which I always enjoy. Quite tasty too. Cashless payment options available too which is important. Will be back, thank you! 🙏🏻
