The loaves were all uncut, so we asked them to help cut. 3 thick slices? Different S.O.P? Why does Nex outlet have 5 presentable slices wrapped nicely?
Love break talk “salted cheese cake” Regular prive is 16$ but yesterday I got 2 with 8$ each. With that price, I have never found any place that has better plavour Besides, staff are nice, store in Junction 8 - A nice Mall & stay in a easy to find spot
You do not have the quintessential Junction 8 experience without smelling the freshly baked bread after leaving the NS line entrance or exit. Located near aforementioned area, and right beside Toast Box, you can often hear the cashiers or employees saying the discounts and how much each bread costs. The breads are surely always enticing. Of course, Breadtalk is a well known household name (& franchise) to most Singaporeans so I’ll cut to the chase. Not forgetting the nostalgic factor - I always got their pork floss. I tried all breads straight - no reheating. Just into my mouth. The first bread I tried was the shio pan. Flaky but not as flaky as a croissant, salty, chewy but the salt I think was what drew me to it. Next, the naan bread was definitely spicy and had curry potatoes and chicken in it. It’s not like a classic naan (I think, have not tasted naan in a long time) but meh. I wouldn’t get it again. The bun I would get again would be the sunflower. It has a lot of seeds in it - black sesame, walnut, sunflower of course, etc. it tasted really good to me.
My recent visits to this place have been underwhelming, to say the least. The service is subpar, with only one staff member handling multiple tasks - taking payments, slicing bread, packing purchases, and even taking orders for sliced cakes from the fridge. This inefficiency leads to slow queues, even during off-peak hours. It's not a pleasant experience, and I think they could benefit from having someone assist when the queue builds up.
I bought a spicy tuna pizza last week here and returned because the smell became unusually strong and doesnt feel right. Went back and one staff dismissed my concern by saying its tuna, thats why it smells. OFC i know how tuna smells tho! But another Indian staff with glasses i think Previina completely turned the experience around. She listened, was kind and professional, and immediately apologised and offered a replacement. She deserved the 5 star cause that’s what people in service does. Hope this reaches her :)
