Châteraisé Bedok Mall
The latest release of crunchy Chocolate with vanilla ice cream is very delicious. Bought them multiple times. Popped by Bedok Mall outlet and snapped up all the balance of this ice cream. 7 of them. Also informed the cashier to replenish sticks. She is nice, gave me a few small dry ice packs to keep the ice cream from melting.
I noticed that the staff putting the cream on cakes did not wear a mask. Pretty poor hygiene standards, for staff handling cakes. This should be improved.
Great place to get Japanese cakes and ice cream. The ice cream is the real deal: cheap and good! It can be as cheap as less than a dollar which is difficult to find nowadays for good ice cream. There are many slice cakes and seasonal cakes available every month and we really like the orange and strawberry cakes. These small cakes can be expensive but they tasted so good and so worth it. Also, the Uji matcha cream roll and fluffy cream roll were my family's all-time favourite! Do note the expiry date as these cakes can't be kept long. Usually it has to eaten within 2-3 days.
Please review CCTV footage between 8.00pm to 8.15pm on today's date 23/8/25. There are 3 staff members I can see working. The queue for cashier is very long and we see one staff being overwhelmed at the counter. One other staff is free, standing aside and helping with just her eyes, the remaining one is on the computer in the office behind, maybe she has important reports to do nearing end of day. This place sells ice cream, you'd probably want your customers to leave as soon as they can after they've taken the ice cream out of the chiller. Not be waiting in line for around 10 minutes for the ice cream to reach room temperature. The shop unit has almost negligible air-conditioning so I would think the warmth is more than enough to melt the ice cream. My experience at other outlets is that the free staff has the initiative to help other customers in the line queueing. Even if there's only one cashier register the staff would help collect money and give change, the POS can probably be keyed in later once the line is less busy. Maybe the workers are not well trained to handle the crowding situations. They should know better to prioritize the right tasks and work as a team to help each other whenever there is a queue starting to form.
VERY UPSETTING EXPERIENCE. Decided to buy something from this branch during the evening of September 2nd. Staff was RUDE, specifically the very horizontally-challenged lady. Her attitude just wasn't it at all. The way she talked was very unprofessional and not a single ounce of care was present in the sorry excuse of service she provided. I do not care if she had a bad day, this does not give her a free pass to treat people like animals. Sadly, this treatment is not a one-time thing as this has happened to others such as an auntie getting a response with a horrendous tone after she asked about the mix & match promotion. Worse still, I've even seen reviews for this branch that date all the way back to last year about similar occurrences happening and no action has been taken! Châteraisé, please do something about this, before this outlet is doomed to inevitably reach a lower overall rating because more instances like this WILL occur. Get. Your. Staff. In. Line.
