Crave Nasi Lemak @ Junction 8
I was craving nasi lemak today and even made a stop at Bishan just to bring some home. There was already a long queue when I reached and only one staff was running the entire stall. It took about 10 minutes just to place my order and after that I had to wait again because he needed to clear the rest of the queue before he could start preparing mine. I can see he’s really doing his best, juggling walk-in customers, keeping up with the flow, and handling GrabFood orders all at the same time. He looked overwhelmed but still tried to serve everyone as quickly as he could. The food is good but the owner should consider having at least two staff on shift at all times. It would make the operation smoother and reduce the waiting time for everyone.
i would give 0 if i could. this was a group order on grab and the person who packed the food anyhow packed it and didn’t pack it according to the individual person’s order? This is what we ordered for 6 of us: 1x chicken wing nasi lemak 1x selar fish nasi lemak 1x royale nasi lemak 1x rice + sayur lodeh + bagedil 1x jewel nasi lemak 1x chicken cutlet nasi lemak we only received 4 boxes of food. this is what we received: 1x plain nasi lemak rice 1x jewel lemak + sayur lodeh + bagedil (all packed in 1 box) 1x royale nasi lemak 1x chicken wing nasi lemak + bagedil and they also packed, in 3 individual paper bags: 1 chicken wing 1 selar fish 1 bagedil ??????? I’m just so confused as to how this person packed the order. why is everything all mixed together and food that shouldn’t be packed separately is packed separately? why is the selar fish packed in a paper bag when the order is “selar fish nasi lemak” ? why was the sayur lodeh mixed with the jewel nasi lemak? whoever who packed this basically thought “ill just packed all the ingredients, doesn’t matter how and where they go as long as all are in” please learn to read and pack orders properly and correctly next time. this is ridiculous.
Today 28 June 2025 at 915pm I had the nicest sumptuous crunchiest chicken wings & french bean veggies tasty very well cooked easy bites. I trust this heartland outlets is the best Nasi Lemak I tried as compared to CPD’s Town areas. Chicken Wing has improved quite alot not too dry as compared to last years 2024. As you walked by shopping malls you can smells the fried aroma. To the shop owner pls make the crunchiness like Long John Silver crush this old school method will you tons of customers queue up for more! Rice 🍚 just the right amount not too oily but a little dry though. I like the sambal chilli 🌶️ not too overly spicy that’s good thing. 👍🏻 Eggs still look fresh chewy including fish fillet & ikan billis still have the crunchiness. Btw was served during closing time by an Indian girl she was in a rush perhaps good business till overshacked could it be the lightings for the food 🥘 overshine the heating light 💡? Anyway she was attentive managed to packed in a box for me. I also advice that the box can overturn the food if they can use a rubble bands to tied around it to prevent from topple.
Was a bittersweet experience. It was my 4th time patronising the stall in view of Shopback's 30% off promotion recently. While no doubt I still enjoy the nasi lemak sets and their quality, one thing to take note is that there are a couple of egg shells found in the fried egg while tucking in, hence a 4 star experience. Looking forward to patronising again and hopefully it would be an improved one in future...
The nasi lemak is very powerful and good, the chilli is also spicy and not like the others outside. I will recommend those that like spicy and love nasi lemak come to this restaurant to eat.
