Crystal Jade at Vivocity has been consistently excellent throughout the years. There is a good variety of dimsum and ala carte dishes and we particularly liked their pencai, usually for Chinese New Year. Their staff are always courteous, helpful and cheerful, fundamental qualities for great service! The restaurant itself faces the sea, providing an atmosphere of serenity for the delicious food. Keep it up!
The staff have been very friendly, the Tim Sum is fantastic of course quite expensive, the congee is great with the fresh fish the best is the Char Sau Pau
When I first entered the restaurant, I was warmly greeted and impressed by the attentive service. However, my enthusiasm dipped slightly when we were seated—our chairs were noticeably worn, and the decor felt outdated. Fortunately, any doubts quickly disappeared once the food arrived. Each dish was beautifully presented and full of rich, fresh flavors. It was clear that a lot of care went into the cooking, from the appetizers all the way to dessert. The service remained excellent throughout—helpful and professional without being intrusive. By the end of the meal, the worn furniture felt like a minor flaw in an otherwise outstanding experience. Overall, while the ambiance could use a refresh, the food and service were top-notch. I’d definitely return and recommend it to others.

Every dish showed finesse and premium ingredients, making the dining experience feel refined and satisfying, though prices lean towards the higher side. 1. Peking Duck Rolls The roasted duck skin was crisp, aromatic, and full of flavour. Rolled in thin flour skins, each bite was savoury, tender, and well-balanced — a classic done exceptionally well. 2. Steamed Cod Fish with Premium Soy The cod was incredibly fresh, buttery-soft, and delicate, with a melt-in-the-mouth texture that cod lovers will appreciate. The light soy, ginger, and scallion dressing enhanced the natural sweetness of the fish without overpowering it. A clean, elegant dish. 3. Stir-fried Scallops with Asparagus A highlight — the scallops were plump, sweet, and perfectly seared, pairing beautifully with crunchy asparagus and wok-kissed aromatics. Well-seasoned with a subtle hint of spice. 4. Fried Tofu with Truffle Sauce This dish was unique and delightful. The fried tofu had a crisp exterior with a soft, smooth interior. The truffle sauce added a rich, earthy aroma that elevated the entire dish. A satisfying fusion of comfort and luxury. 5. Mango Purée Dessert with Ice Cream Thick, vibrant mango purée paired with cold ice cream made for a refreshing, tropical dessert. Smooth, bright in flavour, and a great palate cleanser. 6. Double-Boiled Hashima (雪蛤) A nourishing and soothing traditional dessert. The hashima was well-prepared — tender and clean-tasting — with a lightly sweet, herbal broth. A calming end to the meal. Overall, Crystal Jade Pavilion delivered excellent food quality and elegant plating. While the pricing is slightly premium, the flavours, execution, and ambience make it a worthwhile treat.
