Description
Karubi beef dry noodles hit different here—charred, tender, coated in that umami-rich sauce that'll have you scraping the bowl. The scrambled egg rice trio (baked chicken leg, braised beef, Taiwanese braised chicken) delivers silky, custardy eggs over flavour-packed proteins that taste like they've been braising all day. Skip dessert elsewhere and hit their lychee aiyu jelly or caramelised yogurt instead.

First time trying this place and came for dinner—was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The beef was tender, and even the tendons were soft and well-cooked. I also really loved the chili paste. The atmosphere was comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Great experience. Will surely drop by again to try the other menu.
I first tried the pan-fried dumplings as a takeaway and was blown away. Thin, crispy and fragrant base, with soft, smooth dumpling skins, and juicy filling with the right balance of chicken and cabbage crunchiness. With high expectations, I ordered two servings during my next visit (Sunday afternoon) and unfortunately, it was a letdown. The dumplings arrived within 2–3 mins of ordering—which felt unusually fast, as if they were pre-fried and just finished off when the order came in. They were completely burnt and so chewy that it was tiring to pull apart and eat. The filling was overly salty and oily, the total opposite of my previous takeaway experience. I gave feedback to the staff (first time I ever did that) because I struggled to finish even one serving while the second one looked the same. When I asked if this was how it’s normally prepared, they replied yes. I showed how hard and sticky the skin was, and was told they were meant to be that way. To be fair, they offered to replace the second serving. The replacement again arrived quickly, looked better (less burnt), but the filling was still far too salty, and the skin edges were dry with white patches. I didn’t finish it. Food rating is average only because the first takeaway was outstanding—sadly cancelled out by this dine-in experience. Unsure if this is their usual standard, or hopefully just an off-day.
My sister and I was in Vivocity when we chanced upon this gem of a Taiwanese restaurant. Being Saturday night, it was busy with patrons. But we were lucky to be seated in no time. The waiting staff was very knowledgeable abt the food and really keen to please. We can't decide on the starter or the main because everything looks rather delicious. We decided to go for the pan fried chicken dumplings and it was an awesome choice. The dumplings were soft and yet crispy and it comes with a side of grated ginger that adds to the flavour. For the main we had karubi beef soup noodles with the signature lamian whilst my sister had seafood chicken soup noodles. Both noodles have it's own deep flavour and it was a food that warms your soul. The karubi beef was thinly sliced and simply melt in your mouth. The seafood was fresh and not chewy. Simply said, it was a perfect meals to end the day
*Halal certified with Chinese food Pretty place with excellent noodles; so we were told by the couple dining opposite us. We shared a long common table and chatted throughout the time together. We wanted a nice dessert to finish our meal elsewhere and upon searching, found an interesting looking dessert. It was a caramelized cheese yoghurt pudding. As it had cheese, my hubby had it and loved it. The caramelized top looked really yummy. Tried a tiny bit and really loved the soft texture inside with the crunchy sugar bits on top. I had the Aiyu jelly with lime and 2 lychees. Very refreshing too. As we were talking throughout, I forgot to take pixs. Will definitely want to go back to try the noodles which looked very thin and QQ and the dumplings (my favourite). We reached there just after 9pm. The cashier told us they were closed but when we said we only wanted dessert, she went to the kitchen to ask and they obliged. Glad that she was flexible and considerate. So thankful because we had a really lovely time. The decor is pretty with interesting stone pieces at the long shared table where we sat. And we had such a good time chatting till most of the staff left so we quickly left. Thanks for allowing us to end the night on a sweet note. Will be going back for the dumplings!
Dine in for family of 5 averages 20 to 25 per pax. Rich soup based meat noodles with choice of mee sua, mee pok or la mian. Rice dishes are slightly bigger, great for males, females will need help to finish. Taste of home...nostalgia for my family. Ordered the karubi beef noodles and cordysep chicken noodles, well flavoured. The street food selection is well portioned for 3 to 4 pax. Ordered the fried squib, tasted nice too. Recommended the yuzu lemon tea.. well suited for meals. Lots of space in the restaurant, not cluttered, there is a "triangular table" great for 15 pax.
