Dian Xiao Er

Came here on a weekend at 6pm, and it was packed like mad. On top of that, the place was extremely noisy and quite cramped, which made it uncomfortable to sit and eat. Honestly, this was one of the rare times I really disliked the ambience of a restaurant. The food, however, was not too bad. The usual Dang Gui duck was good. Even though it’s much more expensive than the JB version, the herbal flavour is stronger and penetrates the meat better, so taste-wise it does justify itself. The stir fried vegetables were also nice, with a good balance of saltiness and acidity. It wasn’t overly sour, just enough to stimulate the appetite. The tofu and soup of the day (lotus root soup) were alright. Nothing amazing but decent enough. Overall, the food is good, but the environment is way too noisy for me. If you’re sensitive to loud, busy places, this might not be the best branch to visit.

Had a wonderful lunch with my classmate after our exam! Every dish was delicious, and the duck was especially good. Personally, I loved the salted egg lotus root—it was creamy and full of that rich salted egg aroma. The bill (shown in the last picture) was quite reasonable—definitely acceptable for a treat once every three months hahaha.

August 25,18- used to have DXE in NEX many years ago. Today decide to have it here in JEM, we order 4 dishes, all were good except the well known Herbal Roast duck today were a bit tough. We love the Mongolia port ribs was very good and we love the noodle. Service was normal ever when we were the first to be seated. Overall experience was acceptable. Highly recommended for lunch set.

The staff was exceptional. The entire team was courteous and friendly. The smooth texture of plain porridge is what I love about it.and the duck and salted egg lotus pumpkin so delicious. I appreciate how you brightened my day. Keep up the excellent work.

Delicious comfort meal at 40%(member) for all ala-carte dish excluding rice, dessert & drink during tea time. Staff is super friendly & willing to explain in details.
