Don Don Donki

As a regular customer of Don Don Donki - and I have visited quite a number of its stores in Singapore - I particularly like this Don Don Donki outlet at the JEM shopping mall with its two level store thereat. And what do I almost always buy at Don Don Donki? Its ready to eat meals that are not very good but also very reasonably priced. By the way, today (23 DECEMBER 2025) I was served by a Ms Hasina at the checkout counter who was very helpful to me.

I love Don Don Donki. Always wondering why was it named as such, but you can always find surprises at Donki. Firstly, I like the fresh produce. The fruits are great, albeit a bit pricey, but what you get is quality. And the salmon, tuna or beef. You can't get them any fresher, except visiting the fishery ports or slaughter houses. This is the go-to place for fresh seafood. The sashimi grade salmon has that light fresh watermelon fragrance which you wouldn't get at any local supermarkets, with the exception of Cold Storage, of course. And sometimes, their near expiry items are a bargain. Still as good and the quality is still acceptable, provided you consume them quickly enough. And speaking of consumables nearing expiry, Donki offers generous discount of 20% to 40% on their heat and ready to eat hot meals after 8pm. The prices are really a steal. The only catch is you'll have limited varieties to choose from as most of the best selling items would have been sold out by this time. But fret not, what's left for sale are definitely a bargain not to be missed. So Don Don Donki, drop by tonight and check them out! ☺️

I always love to go to the meat section to look for great looking slices of wagyu beef and shirobuta at Don Don Donki located at second floor of JEM. At the same time, I would also go to the Don Don Donki at the third floor of JEM for their sashimi section where I would often look at the selection of maguro, where they have the chutoro and otoro. Sometimes they have really great deals for non wagyu beef, where I once got 400 grams of beef at $10. They have the yakiniku packaging costing $68, where the marbling is awesome, at least to me.

Fresh grated wasabi! Someone actually grated it. Not horseradish paste. The sashimi was excellent 👍 will return.
