Fun Toast @ Junction 8

certainly explains the less than 3 star rating. i’ve been to other outlets and it was never this bad. fun toast @ J8 please buck up. the walls near the cutlery are stained and just 🤢. ants crawling along the order counter. place feels so unsanitary. only 2 aunties serving on a weekday morning. food is not good did not finish my kaya butter set nor french toast, tea was horrible too.

The honey French toast is so dry and pathetic. The 2 slices of toast did not have any fragrance of egg and there were so little honey and butter that by the time my child ate the 2nd slice, it has become so dry to swallow. No more honey and butter left to spread onto the second slice!

My first choice was under renovation, and I was in a rush — that’s the only reason I walked into this chaos. I ordered just a simple bowl of laksa. It took 24 minutes to arrive, and only after I chased them. The laksa? Bland, completely lacking salt. The egg? Overcooked, with those unappetizing black rings around the yolk. As for the shrimp — one came with nothing but a sad, broken tail. But the final straw? I found a piece of plastic packaging floating in my bowl. FunToast, you’ve officially set the bar for disappointment.

food is ok. place is hot (outdoor area) and trays are strewn all over the place as staff are not diligently collecting them. what is unacceptable here is the quality of service. absolutely preposterous. mixed up my order and still yelled blatantly at me in my face- "你没有跟我讲！" when she had clarified and repeated my order back to me just less than a minute ago. in general, tone of the service staff here is rude, condescending and offensive. i have been to other fun toast outlets. the one at PLQ was my favourite when i was living at paya lebar. however, the j8 outlet is really awful and i will boycott it. many other kopi and toast chains here like ya kun, toast box and even coffee shops nearby. definitely will not be back again.
