This was my first time visiting Haidilao at Marina Bay Sands, despite being a Malaysian and a long-time premium member of Haidilao. Unfortunately, the experience started off on a frustrating note. We were told to get a queue number, and even though the restaurant looked relatively empty when we arrived, we ended up waiting for more than 1.5 hours. The queue system felt confusing and inconsistent, especially as more guests arrived later and seemed to be seated ahead of us. During the wait, staff members didn’t appear very welcoming or proactive. The outlet was extremely busy, so perhaps the team was tired, but the overall interaction lacked the warmth and attentiveness we are familiar with at Haidilao in Malaysia. It was only after I approached a supervisor and mentioned that I was a premium member that we were finally seated — and surprisingly, it happened within minutes after that. Thankfully, the dining experience took a very positive turn once we were assigned to our server, Ong Bee Ying. Bee Ying was an absolute standout — attentive, efficient, genuine, and incredibly pleasant throughout the entire meal. She reminded us of the high service standards that Haidilao is known for, and her sincerity truly elevated the whole experience. Even though she seems fairly new, she carries herself with professionalism and warmth that could easily take her to higher positions in the future. She is definitely a gem at this outlet. As for the restaurant itself, the atmosphere is beautiful and premium, the space comfortable, and the food selection excellent — though understandably on the pricier side given the location. Once seated, we enjoyed the meal very much. Overall, despite the disappointing and confusing queuing experience, our dinner turned out to be wonderful thanks to Bee Ying’s exceptional service. She single-handedly transformed our night and represented the true spirit of Haidilao hospitality. I sincerely hope the rest of the team at MBS can be trained to match her standard in the future.
First time visit to this Haidilao Premium outlet on a weekend morning. Was warmly welcome by the Lobby Manager Mr Peter and friendly service staff Miao Miao and seated in a comfortable sofa set. Ordered the Three Delicacies Hot Pot, Dungeness Crab, Tiger Prawn and a plate of beef from the Prime Cut Butchery. The kitchen service staff make an extra effort with value added services weighing how heavy is the Dungeness Crab. The plating of all the dishes is super awesome with beautiful plate and the quality of the food is top notch super fresh. The taste of the Dungeness Crab and Tiger Prawn is sweet, tender and succulent. The fresh prime cut slice beef taste delicious and melt in your mouth texture. The small Canadian oyster also taste good which can be eaten raw with some fresh slice lemon juice. The unique thing about this outlet is they have a centre stage with dancing and musical instrument performance by artists. Excellent customer service by Ms Rose and Ms Jing Hui provided a memorable and unforgetable dining experience with super attentive attitude. Lastly they also have a refreshing lager Sapporo beer which is fresh from the tap.
It was such an enjoyable and memorable experience at this outlet! The ambience, vibes and service were top-tier. Ms Cui Yi, in particular, stood out to me with her impeccable customer service skills, demonstrating her professionalism. For instance, she’d always promptly assist us with clearing our table, refilling our drinks and takes the extra effort to strike light-hearted communications with us! Her presence made this our best birthday celebration at HDL of all time 🙏🏻🎉
Went for a solo dinner. Recently went to 3 HaiDiLao and this one is always the best. Food is slightly expensive than other HDL, but quality is better. Service is warmer. Cui Yi served my table and she is very proactive, she always knew what I want, very detailed person. Worth going to the MBS one.
It’s Hai Di Lao It feels redundant to write another review for Hai Di Lao. It is good and always deliver the top notch quality, service and taste. It is the premier hot pot restaurant. Our server, the malaysian guy which I can’t remember his name, I’m sorry but he was great. So please give him a raise. The broth it is as good as ever. The mala packed a punch, the pork and chicken soup was hearty, and the tomato soup was balanced between umami and sourness. The ingredients were fresh and plenty. The sauce bar was great! Can’t say more good things.
