HarriAnns Nonya Table
Kitty and I recently visited HarriAnns Nonya Table at their Suntec City location around lunchtime. We were curious to see what made this place so popular, as it always seems to be crowded. After our baking class today, Kitty and I decided to stop by this restaurant. We've walked past HarriAnns a few times, and it's always bustling, with a steady stream of customers for both dine-in and takeaway. Kitty mentioned that this restaurant is quite famous, so we were excited to finally try it. When we arrived, there was a short queue, which moved quickly. It seemed like many people were grabbing their Nyonya Kueh and Pandan Cake for takeaway. I was curious about what to order, so I quickly browsed some Google reviews for suggestions. Based on the recommendations, we decided to try their popular Laksa and some of their Kueh. We ordered a Nonya Laksa Noodles Set ($11.50), Di Lok, Glutinous Rice Set ($6.50), Grandma Yam Cake ($4.80), Traditional Kopi-0 and Traditional Teh-C (0.20 SGD). The subtotal came to $23.00. Also, it's worth noting that you can get an additional 10% discount if you pay through the Grab app. Honestly, we're not entirely sure why this restaurant is so crowded, as the food didn't really give us the "wow" factor. While the Laksa was okay, it wasn't particularly memorable. The Glutinous Rice was interesting, with a mix of savory and sweet rice, but it wasn't a standout dish. The Kueh were fine, and the coffee and tea were decent. There was also a bit of an issue when Kitty ordered the Yam Cake. Another customer mistakenly took it before Kitty could get it. While the staff quickly replaced it, there didn't seem to be much of a check to ensure the right customer received the right order. The service was acceptable. The prices were also reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming. While my first impression of the restaurant was that the inner dining area would be pretty grand, but while simple, it provided the ideal spot to chill. Overall, HarriAnns Nonya Table is a decent spot, but it didn't completely live up to the hype. I think it's a place to visit if you're nearby and looking for a quick bite, but it may not be worth going out of your way.
Decent place for breakfast too as they sell taro toast set, along with things like yam kueh, Chee Cheong fun and even dry mee siam. We got the taro toast set and it wasn’t too bad and the dry meesiam surprised me with the level of spiciness and sourness. The kuehs are good as well. Best part during morning even weekends is there’s a lot of available seats so you can chill for a good weekend breakfast.
Mr Lim Thiam Seng makes the dining experience even pleasant with his friendly and cheerful service. The ondeh ondeh cake is soft and fragrant. There is also a box of 6 different mini kuehs. Special flavours like bo bo cha cha kueh and chendol kueh. The place is a bit echoing so can be quite noisy.
4/5 Stars! HarriAnns Nonya Table (Suntec City): A Solid Nyonya Choice in Suntec Donkey and I recently visited HarriAnns Nonya Table at their Suntec City location around lunchtime. We were curious to see what made this place so popular, as it always seems to have a good crowd. After our baking class today, Donkey and I decided to stop by this restaurant. The Glutinous Rice was a unique and enjoyable experience, with a delightful mix of savory and sweet flavors. The Kueh were a nice treat, and the coffee and tea were a perfect complement to our meal. There was a minor mix-up when I ordered the Yam Cake, as another customer mistakenly took it. However, the staff quickly rectified the situation and replaced it promptly, showing their attentiveness. The service was efficient and friendly. The prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, offering good value. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming. While Donkey initially expected the dining area to be grand, its simplicity provided the perfect spot to relax and enjoy our lunch. Overall, HarriAnns Nonya Table is a solid choice for a Nyonya meal in Suntec. While it might not be the absolute best Nyonya food we've ever had, it's a reliable and enjoyable option. We'd definitely visit again if we're in the area. Aunty Fanny is so friendly and gave good service! Also the food and kueh are very yummy! The uncle Seng who do the coffee and tea on Saturday morning is top notch standard!
