Hoshino Coffee

Loved their egg soufflé pasta, light, comforting, and well done. The service staff was kind, friendly, and made the visit even better. Last but not the least, you must try their coffee. That alone is a reason to visit. Recommended for a relaxed experience amd for a different variety of food.

We've always heard great things about Hoshino Coffee's pastas so we came to take it away for dinner. The price for our pastas on the menu was $16.90, however it became $19.32 for teriyaki chicken, and $19.47 for shrimp & mozarella pasta. Staff wasn't able to explain why it was calculated as such as gave us a refund of 20 cents from their small change / tip bowl. While I do appreciate the staff's actions, I do believe that any restaurant should state all additional costs clearly and transparently the additional. The fact that a takeaway can cost an additional (and rather odd number) $2.42++ is quite ridiculous; and the fact that two pastas of the same price on the printed menu can be calculated differently feels scammish. Hope Hoshino Coffee can review this and update their takeaway payment processes.

Ok so I ordered the iced matcha latte. Thought coming from a reputable Japanese cafe it should be good right? Look at the colour, look at the syrup at the bottom. This is the most horrible tasting drink I’ve ever tasted. It’s so bad I asked them to redo, but it was still so bad. Sooo bad. So Soo bad. Totally undrinkable. Looks like it’s $7++ down the drain.

Terrible service. Firstly, QR code wasn’t placed on our table until 10 mins in. Then, water took another 10 mins ( with surcharge of course ). Desserts took a nice 30 minutes to come, and only came when we were leaving. The server even had to manually calculate how much to comp for the desserts. Overall, unpleasant lunch with this branch, and I won’t be coming back again.

This joint has one of the best fushion japanese food on the menu. If one feels like having quality food in a classy cosy ambience, this is the place to pamper yourself .
