Hugabo

Recently I kept getting really hard Napa cabbage and decided to talk to the staff that I want softer veg and she agree to cook it longer. This is the “softer” version I received… if I wanted salad I would have bought from poke bowl. It’s a pity as the soup and other ingredients are still great. I would probably lose a healthy dinner option.

have bought from hugabo at causeway point many times but by far, today is THE WORST. staff not friendly? fine, i close one eye as long as the food tastes good, but the thing is that the quality and quantity dropped??? i ordered malaxiangguo with the vegetable option (which supposingly comes with napa cabbage, potato, black fungus, and tofu skin), along with broccoli, brown shimeiji mushroom, glass noodles and instant noodles. went back home to eat only to find out that there was NO BROCCOLI and only ONE PIECE OF BLACK FUNGUS. and i could barely see the shimeiji mushroom, all were tiny pieces. taste-wise for today still okay-okay, up to my liking for spice level, but quite salty and oily. (and idk why they always chop up my noodles and they end up looking like you can even scoop them up with a spoon) it's just ridiculous knowing that i paid to get this kind of standard. to be honest, i feel like the standard dropped only after the staff changed. (i always order the same thing but every time it always tastes different??) i dont usually reviews unless its really bad. left 2 stars out of 5 for the previous staff who was friendly and always maintains the standard of the food. EDIT/UPDATE ON 21/10: the review/feedback above was from about 2 weeks ago. today, i decided to give the hugabo outlet at causeway point another try, considering that my previous experiences before incident was quite pleasant. but i would like to express my extreme disappointment AGAIN. i ordered the same thing ( malaxiangguo ) but with a slight change of ingredients. today i got them in the veggie option (supposingly comes with potato, tofu skin, black fungus and napa cabbage), with baby romaine, shimeiji mushroom, oyster mushroom, instant noodles and glass noodles. what shocked me when i reached home was that everything from the veggie option was MISSING?? no potato, no tofu skin, no black fungus, and no napa cabbage AT ALL!!! (not sure if the staff was new or from another outlet, although ive seen her several times at this outlet) when i opened the container's lid at home, i could only laugh because of how ridiculous this is. will not be buying from the outlet at causeway point again. thank you.

Ordered by grab. Not even nice tbh. Price is rather ex for the quality of food. Either over salty or no taste. Leakage everywhere when delivered as the container was paper material? Disappointed with the food. Eat at your risk update: LMAO 1hr+ after eating my family had stomachache with the food that has weird smell. 🙂🙂 hope the company can do something about this. WONT EAT ANYMORE

Purchased the Seafood Paofan ($10.90) at Causeway Point several times and used to enjoy it, but today's experience was disappointing. The food quality has always been inconsistent, particularly with the freshness of the ingredients has been a recurring issue. It impacts the overall soup taste negatively when it is cooked with ingredients that are not fresh. I have always been closing an eye since the soup is still acceptable despite that. The flavour of the soup can vary from being flavourful to diluted, depending on the staff preparing the food. However, the soup was excessively oily when purchased today (27 November 2023, 12:54PM), reaching a point where I had to skim out the oil. Regrettably, I couldn't finish the meal due to its overwhelming oiliness, leaving me feeling bloated. Considering these issues, this will be my last visit to Hugabo. I hope the branch can establish standards and protocols to ensure consistent food quality in both the soup and ingredients.

I know I paid $5.80. But whenever the short guy do my order there's always something goes wrong. First time he do my order he smell after he put it in the container. Uh, which is unhygenic. And the soup given was always very little. Second was this, it doesnt look or even taste like Mala coz too much evaporated milk was added. And he touch the container to right after he pushes the food on the metal thing.
