Ichikokudo Hokkaido Ramen
One of the best ramen bowls I ever had, I chose the Ichikokudo Ramen (Original) $9.90, which comes with Green Tea (Iced or Hot) as it is a value set lunch meal only during the weekdays 11am-5pm. It was rich and filling, along with additional condiments from chili oil, chili pepper, dried garlic, vinegar, soy sauce and more from what I recall. They added more flavor to an amazing meal! Generous serving of bamboo shoots with 1 whole flavoured egg! Seaweed adds more to the springy noodles, and the black fungus adds more texture to the bowl! There were sadly only 3 quite small Chashu slices, the slices could have been bigger or additional slices would elevate the bowl even higher. The green tea (cold) cleanses my palette after the meal is finished. I absolutely love this meal set for the price and taste, will come again 100/10!!
While in Singapore went to @ichikokudosg for dinner a popular ramen restaurant chain known for bringing Hokkaido-style Japanese ramen to the city, this place was highly recommended and it did not disappoint, we tried multiple items and loved it all. Fried Spicy Chicken Gyoza - Crispy bottom with juicy filling and a fiery kick to it, it was just perfect Hokkai Jigoku Smoked Duck Ramen - is a ramen bowl featuring slices of smoked duck breast served in Ichikokudo’s signature rich broth with classic toppings. It’s a unique twist on traditional ramen that adds a smoky, savoury flavour to the bowl Ichi Beef Ramen - ICHI-Beef Ramen is a shoyu-based Japanese ramen bowl that highlights sukiyaki-style beef slices served in Ichikokudo’s rich, umami-forward broth, the beef was tender and very juicy. Beef Fried Rice - limited time special beef with fried rice, eggs, with a side of pickles and miso soup. this dish was very flavorful and the item I enjoyed the most. Overall this is a great spot and we enjoyed the experience
The broth is thick and rich with collagen but it's chicken because it's halal and tonkatsu is not available. Noodle portion is quite big, chicken chashu and a whole flavoured egg given. $9.90++ at Suntec is a good bargain.
Honestly, I’m not quite sure where the 1.6K Google reviews came from — but here’s my personal take. There wasn’t much of a queue; we got our seats within 5 minutes around 8 PM. However, the food took quite a while to arrive — I even finished my noodles before my husband’s order came. We tried the promotional Yuzu Ramen, but unfortunately, it was a no for me. All three dishes we ordered had an overly heavy and salty flavour. I’m not sure what’s so great about this ramen, but I couldn’t take another bite of the yuzu sauce. I ended up eating the noodles plain with the remaining meat and bean sprouts instead. The chicken was also salty — maybe I just happened to pick dishes that were all on the heavier side. Even the garlic flavour was too strong to handle; definitely not something you’d want to dive into the soup with. The only thing we truly enjoyed was the onsen egg, which was perfectly done and delicious.
Delicious and authentic! FT beef cha-han was incredibly tender, cheese cha-han juicy, and salmon cha-han full of flavour and comforting. Loved the miso soup and the matcha-chocolate-berry parfait—must try! Matcha iced latte was matchalicious! The Japanese-style seating added to the cozy vibe, and the waitress was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back. Arigato!
