KANE MOCHI
I visited the outlet on 08/09/2025 at around 9.22pm and were served by two Malay looking girls. From the get-go, could tell their faces were abit sour. Gave them the benefit of doubt of a long shift or a bad day and proceeded to queue still. When I began placing their order, the one at the cashier asked whether if I wanted my order for here or takeaway. I chose takeaway as I planned to be walking around with my friends to eat it instead of sitting down at one spot. The server took some pieces of plastic packaging and began writing something before informing me very quickly that for takeaway orders, they would not cut the mochi into 4. Since i wanted to share with my friends, I then apologized and chose to have it here instead. The server then turned to other girl standing near the freezer and said ‘Having here’ in a very irritated tone, sharing an annoyed look between each other. She then started crossing out what she had written and stuffed the plastic packaging back in the container. I understand this might feel like a petty issue but paired with their unwelcoming faces and cold attitude, it made the ordering experience a sour one overall. Mochis were sweet and delicious undeniably. Enjoyed eating it alot but did not enjoy ordering it at all. If you are not feeling up to entertain customers, then it is my belief that you should not be in the customer service/retail/f&b industry. Mochis were 5/5 stars. Service was a negative. Overall 1/5 stars.
Randomly found this shop in jewel. So wanted to try a minimal flavour, where I could pick any 3 flavours. Took mocha, Thai tea, mango, cream and cookies and taro. Mocha was really a good 💯. Loved their mochi texture and taste, especially the mocha I found it attractive 😋.
This kiosk has been popular on social media, but the hype felt a little toned down when I visited. They do offer a nice variety of flavours though, and I’d recommend the 3-flavour cup (7.90, where you get to mix and match without paying extra for premium vs classic flavours (except durian, which costs an extra 40 cents). I was pleasantly surprised that the mochi skin was soft in the mouth, though not very chewy. Flavours were well-balanced and not artificial - definitely a big plus! The matcha was a bit underwhelming (more like regular tea than matcha), but the strawberry and brown sugar milk tea flavours were tasty. Overall, a fun little treat that’s worth a try.
First time try. The mochi ice cream was nice! A bit pricey though. $7.90 for 3 flavours..
After giving Mochi ice cream a try, I would say my experience was rather average. However, it's crucial to highlight the problematic behavior of one staff member. Throughout my visit, this individual displayed rudeness and impatience, which left a negative impression on me. Due to this unfortunate encounter, I have decided that I will not be returning to Kane Mochi in the future, nor will I be recommending it to others.
