Pork floss bread is a must item with locals , so one must give it a try to experience that local flavour. Singaporeans have sharp taste for bread , so all sorts of fillings from bak kuah, hay bee hiam , fish otah are created to suit their cravings. Get one of each , see what you prefer. I enjoy visiting Lavender at Jewel because of their wide range of breads and cakes — the quality is good and I’ve been a frequent customer. However, the service at this outlet is disappointing. The aunty receptionist showed no greeting, no smile, and no thank you. For a location like Jewel where many tourists visit, customer service should reflect warmth and professionalism. It’s a pity that such nice bakes are let down by the lack of basic courtesy. If staff are not happy or interested in serving, perhaps this is not the right place for them. Hope the management will look into training, as Lavender’s brand deserves better

Ordered a strawberry shortcake today. Service was good as the staffs were helpful to advise the membership discount on the first purchase. However, upon unboxing, we could tell that the cake was not fresh. the strawberries were all old to the extent that all of it has turned translucent. See pictures.

Toffee danish will be a good pick if you are buying from here the first time. Theres always a queue for this outlet. Good place to buy breakfast for next morning. There are too many cheese and milk buns in their assortment which narrows the choices for people who have lactose intolerant.
