Matchaya - Suntec
I tried the Matcha Peach Milk and the Latte at Matchaya and both were absolutely delightful. The Matcha Peach Milk had the perfect balance of earthy matcha and fruity peach, refreshing yet smooth. The Latte was creamy and well-rounded, with the matcha flavor shining through beautifully without being overpowering. The presentation was neat, and the drinks felt thoughtfully crafted. A must-visit spot if you enjoy quality matcha drinks with a creative twist.
Matchaya tea+dessert offers a wide range of matcha tea, dessert and cakes for a fair price value - located at the suntec center in Singapore its a welcomed place for an extraordinary break - we love the taste and very friendly service
Came here for dessert with my family on a Sunday afternoon 3pm. We are regular customers and we love the matcha desserts. However, we were very turned off by the customer service, in particular the manager on shift. The dark chocolate cake was very dry and kept falling apart each cut we made. But that wasn’t the main issue. When we asked the staff members if this was normal, 2-3 of them hastily approached me and tried to ameliorate the situation. However, the shift manager, P.W., was on her phone the entire time and when the members asked her if this was normal, she took a glance at me and nodded her head and went back to using her phone. I was utterly disgusted by this level of service. Even while the staff members were getting me fresh new slice of cake, she continued doom scrolling on her phone, it was clear from my sight of vision that she was looking at a bunch of pictures on social media instead of attending to customers. I want to take this opportunity to thank the staff members who were diligently trying to help me out despite the lackadaisical attitude of their shift manager.
Tried the Sakura Matcha Twist Soft Serve with Charcoal Cone. I found the matcha soft serve so different with the other Matchaya outlet that I’ve tried at Takashimaya. Here in Suntec the matcha soft serve flavour was not strong and prominent, it’s light and there is no bitterness taste, too milky and sweet for my liking. Can see from the pic I take, the color of the matcha was not dark green but more to light green. Different with the one I had at Takasimaya outlet which more dark and has strong bitterness of matcha flavour. Wondering why different outlet has different taste. The sakura soft serve was normal, charcoal cone was nice. It’s just a bit disappointed with the matcha soft serve taste. Next visit: Tried Chocolate Pistachio Parfait, it was good, the pistachio soft serve was nice and nutty. But the chocolate sauce was a bit too much for my liking, so it overpowered the pistachio soft serve. Matcha Roll Cake was very nice, sponge cake was moist and fluffy, not dry. Matcha cream was on point, bittersweet, and with chunks of red bean.
Matcha and Houjicha lovers Haven!! This place is almost always filled with people especially on weekends. Weekdays you have better luck to find seats. Mixed warabi: Chewy mochi coated in matcha or kinako powder drizzle with sweet syrup. (Sweet with slight bitterness from matcha while kinako is sweeter) Lavender orange swiss roll: Soft sponge cake filled with light chantilly cream with hints of orange zest and lavender. Awesome flavors. Uji matcha parfait: Matcha Almond Croissant: Warm buttery croissant sjowered lightl with earthy matcha powder, and topped with crunchy almonds. Matcha milk: Simple earthy mild bitter matcha with milk Matcha mango milk: Matcha milk with added mango puree and bits of mango. Refreshingly sedap! We also had matchaya yuzu cake and many more. We drop by for dessert every time we go Suntec. A must try for matcha lobers dedinitely!
