MOS Burger
Service is a little slow, but the standard of food is good. Restaurant is typically empty even during peak lunch hours, which is nice if you want to enjoy your meal and have some peace. We enjoyed the teriyaki truffle mayo fries.
I wasn’t too excited when proposed with the option of having MOS burger for dinner, as prices for MOS were never wallet-friendly despite its fast food outlook, and food tasted, for a lack of a better word, dull. To my great surprise, they offer a rather innovative menu with Singaporean-infused flavours such as chilli crab mantou and prawn soup nowadays, which is definitely a welcome change. First impressions when the food arrived was that every single item was so well-packed (RIP environmentally-friendliness) and you can see where most of the expense went to. Next, the chilli crab sauce and mantou puts many local eateries to shame. The sauce was on point and the mantou was so well-fried without the reused-oil taste. The prawn bisque was superb and tasted like a strange yet likeable mix of local hae mee broth and industrially available prawn bisque. Nevertheless, much better than any “lobster bisque” offerings from mid-tier restaurants here. The chicken burger seemed to be MOS’ rendition of a nasi lemak burger, and it was very strange that they only allowed the ordering of matcha with the burger. But having been to Japan, that’s how they roll I guess. The matcha was actually decent to be honest, and many local cafes should take note, instead of serving sugared green tea milk as “matcha”. All in all, I surprised myself by enjoying this meal a little too much. May order again soon.

Absolutely slow no wonder very few people eating there. If you plan to eat there do ensure you have plenty of time
26 Jul 2025 update Being a Chilli Crab Sauce connisuer has literally forced my hand at trying every fast food iteration of this local dish and I must say MB has got the taste and egginess of the sauce down right on par with LJS, edges out KFC for heat and trounced McD abysmal collab with Jumbo. However, MB will have to take a take back seat to LJS and KFC as these two have worked the sauce into proper meals and not just as a condiment for 4 mini mantous. MB could have done better like incorporate the CC sauce into their rice burger or just do the mantou burger bun but with yakiniku beef or anything fpr that matter. But nope, they got some prawn noodle turned into a burger which I didnt like the smell so I skipped that. I did dip my MB fried chicken into the CC sauce and it was nice - missed opportunity there. Previous Review Tried the new burger which they just launched this week and was quite disappointed, lack of sauce ensured that the Tsukune patty, beef yakiniku that were combined into one meal was dry, tasteless and overall quite sad. I had to use the plain white rice bun and meats to try and mop up whatever sauce that was on the wrapper tp get a semblance of taste. Also tried the spicy seaweed shaker fries and this is nothing like my fav McD ones. Even though the seasoning was abundant, they season it for you, but all I tasted was a somewhat salty BBQ taste with barely any trace of seaweed - missed opportunity as I actually quite like the chunkiness of the chips. Perhaps the only safe option of the day was having the comforting corn soup that npw features grains of corn at the bottom of the cup. Oct 2024 Update Decided to try Mos Burger again as I was craving teriyaki burger but Mac was way too crowded. To my surprise, front line staff service improved tremendously. The burger was pretty good too, while the meat was suitably coated with the sauce, the rice bun was nor. I had the fried chicken fillet and that was very nice, with a crisp crust and juicy inside. Finally the corn soup is the main reason why I keep coming back to Mos.
