Pontian Mee
my all-time favourite pontian wanton mee; only left a few locations in singapore. don’t understand other reviews saying this is overpriced; $5.50 for a bowl of noodles in an air-conditioned setting. what else can you ask for? highly recommend to tourists who visit IMM!
Very small portion. Taste is also very so so with nothing special. Fishball is okay. They dont give you any tissue and you have to pay if you need tissue
For the price, I cannot complain about the small portions of wanton and charsiew. It’s really yummy though and the barley dessert was filled with generous amount of ginkgo nuts. Satisfying quick, cheap and yummy lunch with a bonus barley dessert in IMM! Very good for a nice, warm, little tease of spiciness tummy filler :p
No frills wanton mee apparently started in Pontian JB, with many branches in Singapore. It's pretty tasty as the noodles n ingredients are coated with sauce but can be a tad too oily.
A familiar taste of Malaysian wanton noodle or 干捞面. Prefer the dry dark soy sauce type. It’s a common meal taken during breakfast and lunch. The main ingredients must include dumplings (wanton) and roast pork (char siew). If the minced pork meat was included would be perfect but not this shop.
