Pontian Wanton Noodle

Still remains one of my go-to for wanton noodles. Noodles are springy chewy and so fragrant with the sauce and chilli. Ordered Set A - wanton noodles with a side of (6) fried wantons (very worthwhile and value for money). Generous serving of char siew. Still very tasty in takeaway. You know you won’t go wrong.

Wasn't expecting another wanton noodles store to replace an existing wanton noodles store. But it was what it was, where Pontian replaced Eng's. Standards are different, and this became more of a local fast food eatery. Food comes fast, but they also don't expect you to sit for long. Food quality is good enough if you're trying to fill your stomach, but not enough if you're trying to enjoy your bowl of wanton noodles.

Wonton Noodles is okay. Ordered non-spicy but came with spicy. The dumplings in the soup didn’t taste fresh. And look at the portion for the chicken cutlet…

The noodle is chewy and nice. However, I am disappointed with the wanton. Both the fried and the soup wanton have very little to insignificant fillings and the skin used for the wanton tastes a little low quality.

Unfortunately this place is quite unhygienic. Cockroaches EVERYWHERE. Literally one dead cockroach under my table. One half kicking ON the table right next to me and another one crawling around hiding in cracks. The tables are also not wiped down and cleaned I used a wet wipe to clean my own table and it was so dirty. The charsiew was also cold (fridge cold) when I ate it and the staff weren't super friendly. I love this wonton mee and I'm so sad to see it in this sorry state. I approached the staff and the guy couldn't be bothered. He just said like yea ya ya I know I know ok la ok la (mumble)
