Qi Ji
First time patronising Hougang 1 outlet and the service was bad. The chicken wing was undercooked and went to told the staff about it and there was no apology. The staff just gave a new one which seems a little dry and smaller. We always patronise Hougang Mall outlet and the food was way better.
The only saving grace for this popiah is the soft skin. The turnips lack flavour and the popiah isn't worth the price ($3.40 for chicken) with so little filling. For those who want to satisfy their popiah craving, I highly recommend patronising 644 Hougang's popiah instead! $2 for much more flavour and ingredients!
Food is comparable to other outlets but dine-in space is cramp and small. Many takeaways during lunch and dinner period causing a human jam along the walkway.
This is the 4th time I've visited to order takeout and their popiah is sold out way before their official closing time. I arrived before 8.15pm today (Sun), before 9pm and slightly after 9pm on the other occasions (weekdays). The offical daily closing time is 10pm as shown on Google maps and their website (last order at 9.30pm). Please update your website and Google maps so others won't make a wasted trip down.
The popiah compared to hg mall was disappointing! The prawn paste on the popiah is like none. Would have thought the standards of each branch should have been the same.
