Hi, this is a complaint in regards to a misleading advertising on their billboard. It’s printed as Promo Price $4.90 each for their fruit shakes but when it was our turn to order, the staff told us that $4.90 will only be applied to 2 cups or more and for 1 cup it will be $5.90. We were pressured on the spot to order 2 cups in order to get the discount price. It was no written anywhere in fine prints that this is the case. When we confronted the staffs on the misleading ad, they said that we have to order 2. Thus, I am writing to you to official lodge a complaint on this misleading marketing gimmick to trick Singaporeans and tourists who often frequent Jewel. After 15mins, we were back to collect our order and then told the staff I am going up lodge a complain. She immediately lied and changed her statements. She said she meant without ice cream $4.90, and with ice cream $5.90? How does it even equate to what she transpired to us earlier that its 2 for $4.90, and 1 for $5.90? She’s obviously trying to pull a fast one on us. It’s totally different things. She did not mention anything about ice cream earlier on. So I told her I will continue to lodge a complaint. Guess what? She said “Go ahead!” Later that evening, I lodged an Official complaint with Jewel and the concierge staffs all agreed with me and felt embarrassed that I had to go through that. I am thankful for their understanding. I have also lodged a complaint with CASE. This is not just about that dollar. It’s ethics. How can they try to trick consumers and tourists like that? Imagine how much more extra sales they are going to get by “tricking” people to order 2 orders instead of 1? This is obviously not the kind of image we want to present to the tourists arriving in Singapore. Thank you for reading this! Attached are the evidences of the billboard. There isn’t any fine prints to say we have to order 2 cups to get the discount anywhere. The staff who challenged me was also pictured inside the photo. BEWARE of this company!!
Tried their orange juice as they had a buy one get one free promotion. When I received my order, they came in two different containers. One was smaller than the other with the smaller one full of ice. When I went back to the stall to ask whether it was normal to have so much ice, the response was because it was free! Buy one get one free promotions should be exactly the same, otherwise it is false advertising!
absolutely slow at making just one cup of watermelon juice. workers are unfriendly. poor service. everyone who ordered juice waited so long.
Ordered a piece of papaya and watermelon juice. Both are very fresh and very enjoyable! Had to pay an extra $1 to not have ice in the juice.
Ordered 2 cups of juice and we were the first in line. People after us all got their drinks earlier. When I asked, staff said they must make the “non-sour ones first”. What kind of logic is that? Poor service and no sense of fairness.
