Review of Sukiya @ Jewel Changi Airport I recently tried the Chicken Soboro Don at Sukiya’s Jewel outlet, curious to see how this new item compares to what I’ve had in Japan. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. The service was not particularly friendly or helpful, and interactions felt rather indifferent, which took away from the overall dining experience — especially at a location like Jewel where service standards are usually higher. As for the food, the Chicken Soboro Don lacked consistency in flavour compared to Sukiya outlets in Japan. The seasoning felt flatter and less well-balanced, missing the comforting savoury depth that usually defines a good soboro bowl. While the portion and presentation were acceptable, the taste simply didn’t deliver the familiar Sukiya experience I was hoping for. Overall, this visit was disappointing, particularly for diners who are familiar with Sukiya in Japan. I hope the outlet can improve both service attitude and flavour consistency, as the brand has much better potential than what was shown during this visit.

Excellent food quality and portions for the price! It’s a reliable, consistent choice. Order easily via QR or machines. Plus, you get a view of the bottom of the Jewel waterfall, which is a nice addition to the atmosphere.

Our order came promptly. The taste is good but I find the vegetable is slight raw. Serving is fair for medium option. The table was clean and staff service is good. Enjoyed my meal.
