SUSHI TEI
Curry pasta was very good, pasta was cooked well and the curry was flavourful. Tochigi wagyu don was up to expectations - wagyu was melt in your mouth. Drinks were good and refreshing. Paid $75.78 for all. 1. Long queue but restaurant had cordoned off many seats. 2. Kappa breeze took very long to come.
As usual food is always good. However compare service, ambience & the staff in Tampines & Paragon outlet. Easily 5 star service for those 2 outlets 100%. Feel very welcome there & staff is very polite and friendly. However in Vivo, I must compliment the 2 outstanding staff, the Indian server & the cashier whom is also from Tampines Sushi Tei, they both are smiley & able to provide excellent customer service. A good example for the rest of the other servers there.
This is one of our go to restaurants for comforting and simple Japanese food in Singapore. We have tried a wide variety of food on their menu and all of it tastes good. Our favourites are the salmon mentaiyaki & the salad. The service is very prompt as well - refilling our tea and clearing our table of the empty dishes. Special shoutout to the manager Traslin who’s always so welcoming & friendly.
Short queue to enter, I recommend the Aburi Salmon Roll! My typical order also includes the Spicy Miso Ramen but that’s just due to nostalgia.
We walked in for a late dinner around 9pm, just before closing, without expecting much as it is just another Sushi Tei. But we ended up having a surprisingly pleasant meal, with service that was above average. Even though we only had about 15 minutes to place our order, the staff didn’t rush us at all. Once we have ordered, they double-checked everything to make sure the correct order went through, which we appreciated. The food came out promptly, and we were surprised by the quality, which is much better than we had anticipated. We especially enjoyed the shabu soup set. The soup was naturally sweet and full of flavour, and it was so satisfying that we immediately started talking about coming back again soon.
