Tempura Makino
Although a little pricy, eating at Tempura-EN is always lovely. It's one of the few places I can eat a decent amount of tempura without feeling overly oily, and they always have unique seasonal dishes to try. The triple salt provided is also a great way to have new flavours between ingredients. Vegetables are fresh and the batter is crisp but not super oily. This time it was the truffle camembert tempura, which was great for cheese lovers. The combination is great as the cheese cuts through any potential oil left on the tempura. (We ate more than the pictures, and ended up ordering 3 plates of the cheese tempura).
This is our second visit to this restaurant. We each ordered a set, and the total bill came to about $84.53. It was definitely worth the price. The food was fresh and well-prepared, with great flavours that weren’t overly salty. The tempura was light and not oily at all—so even after eating quite a lot, it didn’t feel greasy or overwhelming.
The food is great. Umami of the tempura is good and there is no odour at all. The pork is well marinated and the chicken is with great texture. The egg is at the right point and the yolk is amazing. Service and atmosphere up to standard.
Not a very big restaurant. Love the variety it offers and the portion is good. Value for money. We love all the food that we ordered. It came hot (esp delicious) for freshly cooked tempura.
There is a huge long queue at Sushi Tei and so we decided to come here. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. It's very nice and the service here is excellent too. Very happy with the meal and satisfy my family cravings. Recommended!!
