Tonkatsu by Ma Maison @ Jewel

I went there when it's last order timing still staff are very nice and I would give it more than 5 stars service. Every one is polite and attentive. Food was fantastic! I ordered the pork loin and finish 2 bowls of multigrain rice.

Been eating at this chain for more than 10 years and the quality has dropped TREMENDOUSLY. Pork is now overcooked, dry and hard. Meat used to be thick and juicy and it’s a far cry from before. Only reason why I am rating this 2 stars instead of 1 is because the service crew and manager are nice.

We have been patronizing Tonkatsu by Ma Maison for a few years now and the Jewel outlet is our favourite. While the food is consistently good (95% of the time at least for the pork, 100% for the comforting Tonjiru soup & delicious multi grain rice), it's the service at this particular outlet that is outstanding. Kelvin and Alex are both managers at the outlet and you can tell that all the servers are genuine, friendly and attentive because they have great leaders who also make great examples for them to follow. The teamwork always feel solid and the working atmosphere always feel light even on the busiest of days. The managers are always friendly and chatty and goes beyond their duties (like taking the time and effort to buy a small birthday cake out of pocket to celebrate my child's birthday 😳). I hope the company appreciates and values staff like those at the Jewel outlet.

We ordered 3 sets: two Rosu Katsu and one Oyster-and-Rosu Katsu combo. They were quite satisfactory and enjoyable. Notably, the steamed rice (white or brown), the "tonjiru" (Japanese soup) and the raw cabbage were "refillable". Interior decor was simplistic (minimalist) and functional: many furnishings, wall murals and aerial lightings showed the cute porker-pig, reflecting the shop's main menu signature items. Staff impressed us with their diligence, helpfulness and meticulous service, even when they were fully busied and engaged. Good job!

Food is always good as usual, but today, I want to commend the staff for their tip top service! Everyone had smiles on their faces and we were made to feel welcomed! While the queue was long, the store manager appeared to be calm and organized. We got seated very quickly and food was served promptly. I also loved the tonjiru (soup) that was served and I had 3 servings (and I could go on easily!). I look forward to my next dine in again!
