Rice portion was PATHETIC. Bought so many times but first time served by this Auntie and boom, my rice halved. Auntie please la... why give a kid's rice portion for a grown adult, not even full after paying close to $10 for this meal ($3 for the rice before discount..) Utter disappointment, dry as well literally asked for more sauce yet received lesser sauce. Sometimes I wonder why business close, sometimes it's not because the food is bad or not good, sometimes it's the employee problem. If your employee trolls, your business is gone.

I loved the food. The sausage tastes just like what I had in Japan, and the meat isn't dry either. However, I disliked the front-of-house lady who took our order. I arrived at 5:16 PM on Monday, March 18th, 2024, and waited a bit for the server to be ready to take our order. She spoke so quickly that I couldn't understand her. I understand that there might be a tone/pronunciation barrier since I'm a foreigner (we both spoke English), but did she really have to raise her voice? Even the lady at the cashier looked back at us after hearing her. Have you undergone thorough customer service training? Since it's a Japanese chain, shouldn't she be polite while serving customers? Not as polite as the Japanese, but also not yelling at customers when they don't understand what she's saying. I'll be forwarding an email to the company after typing this.

Takeaway. I ordered pork, chicken, meatball and quail egg sticks with rice. All of the yakitori were delicious, with a nice smoky flavour. The pickles that came with the rice were great too, just sour enough for my liking. The seaweed also suits the rice well. Just note that there aren't many seats for dine in

No frills and simple japan bento rice set. Japan rice is full and round and fragrant. Japan sauce is great and not very salty. Grills are tasty! Worth to buy, can eat. Suitable for all ages and gender. Limited seats. If want to dine in, suggest to avoid peak hours. Lunch and dinner always long queue. This show food is tasty. Price is abit high. One box about $8. Rice with 4 sticks.

Tori Q has a variety of grilled items which goes well with rice. Generally I think it is good, and one way they can improve is to make the rice less wet.
