We’ve walked by this place many times before but never decided to try it, mostly because we usually stick to Chinese food when we’re here. I’m really glad we finally gave it a chance because everything was so good. The spicy tuna was a standout. It came in a moon-shaped presentation and tasted amazing. The Caesar salad with wasabi dressing surprisingly didn’t taste like wasabi at all, but it was still really delicious and well balanced. The sashimi platter was fresh and high quality, and the tuna with caviar was especially yummy. The drinks were festive and tasty, and the space itself is really nice. It’s tucked inside a kiosk-style area at Marina Bay Sands and feels stylish but relaxed. The servers were friendly and attentive throughout. Overall, a great experience and a pleasant surprise. Definitely worth stepping outside our usual food choices, and I’d happily come back.

With its well-curated menu, stylish ambience, and excellent service, Wakuda feels like an elevated izakaya. Food was great all around. We had the Lobster Quinoa set, sukiyaki (ala carte), and Big Eye Tuna to start. Every dish felt thoughtfully done with high-quality, fresh ingredients. The sukiyaki stood out—beautifully presented and made with Kagoshima wagyu that was very tender with minimal fat. The sauce was rich but well balanced by the egg yolk. A nice twist was the shishito peppers at the base, which added an unexpected but pleasant touch. The Lobster Quinoa was also a highlight. Cooked in a style similar to Japanese garlic fried rice, but the quinoa gave it more texture and little bursts of bite. Lobster meat was generous and sweet. Service deserves a special mention. The reception ladies were warm and cheerful, and the service staff were attentive, polite, and genuinely friendly without being intrusive. I’d noted it was a birthday during reservation (didn’t expect anything), and was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary tiramisu. It looked great and tasted even better—honestly enjoyed it more than the banana cake from the set meal. Overall, a great spot whether for a casual meal or a special occasion. Solid food, top service, and good value for money.

Ambience nice, though a bit too dark and noisy with small kids, not the best place for quiet talk. Japanese sweet corn very good. Tempura platter so-so. Fried squid good, but only with the Yuzu mayo sauce. Beef tenderloin at medium was tasty though slightly undercooked. Wagyu rice bowl is excellent, by far the best dish, though portion is very small. The lobster fried quinoa supposedly the signature dish but sadly not Umami and too expensive. Overall we wouldn't make a trip especially to dine there again, unless invited by a very rich friend.

Stylish Japanese restaurant within the Marina Bay Sands Hotel! Located in the lobby area you enter a relaxing place for excellent dining and drinking. The menu covers traditional Japanese food however also some cross-over to Korean and European elements. Awesome cocktails and an extensive wine list will let you find what you prefer. The service is very friendly, fast and attentive. A perfect place to enjoy great moments!

Had a wonderful dinner at Wakuda — truly worth the splurge. Our bill came up to about $400 for two, and every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. We ordered the assorted tempura, flan, marinated chicken, classic saikyo yaki, and the grilled A5 wagyu sukiyaki. The quality and flavours were consistently impressive, with the cod fish being the standout — fresh, flavourful, tender, and incredibly satisfying. We ended the meal with their signature coconut soft serve and a scoop of pink salt Hokkaido milk gelato — the perfect refreshing finish. Great ambience, attentive staff, and beautifully executed dishes. Highly recommend for a special night out
