Food is pretty good and hard to go wrong, but taste can be inconsistent and can really vary. Hit or miss, but overall still comfort food. Will need to plan ahead and make sure that you order in advance as waiting time can be long. There's quite a lot of MSG in the fried rice, which makes it tasty but doesn't sit well with my tummy. To others who are sensitive like me, might wish to take note too 😅

Easy-to-find restaurant that is located directly outside of Hougang Mall's exit to the MRT. Getting the staff to attend to me was a struggle. Even when one cook was not busy and just staring at me, they continued to do their own thing instead of addressing me. I feel like the service needs some work. I order fried rice everytime I visit. One version in particular I favor is the Dry Laksa Fried Rice with Grilled Chicken. While the normal fried rice has the wok hei aroma and great-tasting rice, the Dry Laksa Fried Rice was a level-up. If you enjoy laksa, then the fusion between fried rice and laksa BY Wok Hey will make you crave for more. Price range is sort of pricey for Chinese street food cuisine here, so expect to pay almost $10 for one simple meal. Definitely worth it though. Despite my comments about the fried rice, there were times when the rice will taste watery (NOT because of oil), or even underseasoned. I once bit into a box that had like plain reheated rice. Consistency is a bit of an issue here, but this happens rarely. There's no quick guarantee of food being served because the staff can be either fast or slow. However from most of my experiences, my order would take 25 minutes on average to prepare (even during peak hours). It's a good food chain with delicious food, but put some effort to get attention of the staff when you order.

Christmas comes early as WOK HEY has brought back the wildly popular Truffle Fried Rice MAX and Truffle Udon MAX. These masterfully curated seasonal favourites combine savoury smoked turkey ham, sweet cranberries, crunchy macadamia nuts and aromatic truffle into a scrumptious symphony. And the boxes look absolutely gorgeous! The fluffy grains of rice infused with a wonderful wok hei made the 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗔𝗫 ($12.80) marvellously mouth-watering. With the thick and chewy udon soaking in all goodness of the condiments, the 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲 𝗨𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗔𝗫 ($12.80) was similarly stellar. WOK HEY’s extraordinary Xmas Edition specials are the ideal way to spread some festive cheer!

5 star for the food and taste 5 star for the packaging and branding 3 star because always rush and you have to wait atleast 15 minutes there and no place to sit or eat. Been there multiple times and always loved the taste.. price wise also it's good.

Was there ordering than had this one old aunty having difficulties ordering through the kiosk the staff there wearing black shirt named Hamiz quickly assisted the aunty through the menu and helped her order..even when there was orders that need to be prepared he stepped up and helped her ..hats off for the service and the food …
