Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe

Had dinner here and it was a solid 3. the food was mainly okay but lacked umph for me. The har cheong chicken was nice but the missus said the taste was inconsistent as there were a couple pf pieces with freezer burn taste. The beef hor fun was okay if a little on the bland side. We had to ask for sambal chilli, in addition to the green cut chilli. The beef was a tad hard - could have been tenderized more. The XW signature fried rice was tasty. The milk tea could have been stronger but was okay. Service was quick and friendly.

Service from all the staff is very good but food is bad. Especially the char grilled pork chop. Even for normal adult with healthy teeth finds it hard to chew. Baked potato no no as well. Crispy prawn cake is bad too. Oily, soggy on the base. Not crispy at all. First time tried a fried prawn cake that taste like this.

Thankfully came around later afternoon where people are still busy shopping so was less crowded. The fried rice is nice, fish and chip was also well breaded. The beef brisket was okay but a little on the salty side. Dint have any room for dessert but will come again to try.

Song playing is too loud for comfort. Price here are reasonable and food taste are tasty. The Otah Bun 鱼肉乌达包 are nice as the bun are very soft and the Otah are a lot.

Good food and fantastic service. Waiters are attentive to details. They will try to seat families with young kids at corners and away from kitchen area when possible.
