Yaki Yaki Bo

Have supported Yaki Yaki Bo since 2018 and have always appreciated its value for money and great flavours. Over the years, especially after the pandemic, portion sizes have shrunk significantly, and quality has dipped, even though prices maintained. To compensate, the restaurant includes a wide variety of additional items to maintain its value-for-money appeal. Personally, I would prefer if the ice cream, sorbet, and assorted extras were removed and provided more generous main portions. Ventilation remains good despite the restaurant’s age. There is only a slight lingering oil smell, even when seated at the teppanyaki counter. The chefs are experienced, doing the best they can with the quality of ingredients provided. If only I could go back to peak Yaki Yaki Bo back in 2019, I would happily eat here every night. For now, it’s a place I will visit occasionally, and only when there’s no queue.

Loved the teppanyaki at Yakiyakibo. The food was delicious and the service crew was very attentive, regularly topping up our green tea. We even got a free yuzu frost at the end of the meal, which was a nice touch. The chef worked very fast, so we didn’t have to wait long at all.

First time here & I like that you can sit at tables to chit chat easily compared to sitting at the teppanyaki table beside each other. The food was delicious & didn't need to wait too long for each dish. Loved the grilled meats & garlic fried rice. The potato with bacon was a surprise to see on the menu & we're suckers for anything potato but it was really tasty with the mustard seeds!

I went here with my grandparents, had the black pepper beef set. Taste was really good, and the portion was decent. Also ordered the hamburg, which was good, but expensive for the portion given. There were several mistakes made by staff, but they corrected these immediately after i informed them, so its all good. The chef was also very kind, I ordered an extra dish, and he informed me of this, and asked if i wanted to go through with the order or cancel it. Definitely would recommend, and would come again! (Note that the prices may be considered a little expensive)

MJ, and His team member Jolin and Rebecca are extremely warm , sincere and authentic . They helped with order, helped in takeaway and always attentively and serve immediately when the tepanyaki is ready. The chef Liang cooking is excellent. He is steady and attentive to details and all our dishes are cooked to perfection. It is a delight to watch Liang cook happily and to perfection with his calm and steady demeanour We will come back for more because of this friendly and sincere team
