f you love truffle, you need to check out Aroma Truffle’s new outlet at Jewel Changi Airport. I walked in and was instantly hit by that strong, earthy truffle aroma — the kind that makes you stop in your tracks and go, “OK wait, this is the real deal.” Their signature Black Truffle Chips and Truffle Popcorn are ridiculously addictive — ultra crispy, and every bite is packed with bold, natural flavour. You can really taste the difference — and that’s probably because they use real Italian truffles that are hand-harvested and sustainably sourced . You can smell the quality before you even taste it. They also have artisanal truffle sauces and some beautifully packed gift sets, which are perfect if you’re travelling or looking for a unique foodie present. And don’t miss their NEW truffle chocolate drop coming out on July 21 — I’m already planning a second visit just for that! If you’re flying in or out of Changi, or just heading to Jewel for a weekend stroll, I highly recommend stopping by. This spot is a total haven for truffle lovers. They have another shop here: Changi Airport Terminal 1 (Transit Lounge West #02-K19B)

Loving their Truffle Mini Mixed Bundle, it comes with 2 mini truffle snacks, 2 mini condiments, and their new chocolate truffles infused with real black truffles from Spoleto, Italy. Perfect for gifting, or just treating yourself to a little bit of everything. So much truffle goodness in one box 😍 The staff are nice and friendly too, makes the whole experience even better!

This brand is clearly trying to position itself as a premium Singapore gift brand, following the path of TWG/Bacha. Unfortunately, the execution — especially in customer experience — is nowhere near that level. I purchased three tins, intending to give them as gifts to different recipients. After checkout, I asked for them to be packed separately. The staff refused, stating that company policy only allows one bag if all items fit, and additional bags must be paid for. I then requested three small bags instead of one large bag — no extra materials, no extra space, simply separating the items. This was still refused, with the explanation that payment had already been made. At no point before checkout was I informed of this policy. When I raised this, the staff pointed to a small sign with dense text, claiming the policy was written there. This is not reasonable. Customers cannot be expected to read every fine-print sign before paying — especially when purchasing items marketed as gifts. To make things worse, when I decided not to proceed due to this poor service experience, I was told refunds were not allowed, despite the fact that I had not even left the counter. This level of rigidity is unreasonable. Fortunately, a more senior staff member later stepped in and handled the situation professionally. Without this intervention, the experience would have been genuinely awful. However, this only further highlights how problematic the policy itself is. If you want to be a gift brand, you need to think like one. If you want to learn from successful brand like Bacha, then learn properly — not just the packaging, but the service mindset behind it. Buying multiple gift items often means gifting to multiple people. A basic service standard would be to: • Ask customers before checkout whether items should be packed together or separately • Or clearly inform them verbally of restrictive packaging policies Your policy itself is poorly designed. Limiting the total number of bags is one thing — but denying customers the choice of how items are packed, even when no extra resources are required, makes no sense for a brand positioned around premium or gifting. Quite frankly, even bubble tea shops ask whether customers want items packed together or separately. For a brand aspiring to be a mid/high-end Singapore brand, this experience was deeply disappointing.
