Good food and service. Portions were reasonable in correlation with the price and location. Clams were meaty. Oysters were good size. Chicken was moist and tasty. Veggies had a little too much sauce but ta
There’s currently no GST or service charge, though prices have definitely increased compared to the past. Even so, despite the many putien lor mee dupes, this remains the best version. The fried brinjal with pork floss is especially flavourful, generously topped with pork floss and very satisfying. Allow some wait time during peak dining hours.
We ordered a bunch of things to share with the family. We ordered the sweet and sour pork, egg plant with pork floss, fried pig feet, dry fried white bee hoon, shredded pork with sesame bun. Good: - the eggplant with pork floss was really nice - the oyster was really special and surprisingly didn't feel too oily - the sweet and sour pork is one of the better ones around - the shredded pork was decent, but the sesame bun was really nice Can be better: - the bee hoon was average, in fact a little too dry Bad: - it wasn't made clear on the menu that it was pig feet only, so we thought it was pig trotters that we ordered
food is really quite nice. the 3 egg vegetables the best i have ever tried, eggs were fresh, sauce was creamy and not too dilute and not milky. vegetables were fresh and tasty, but preferred if they used the thinner spinach for texture. the sweet and sour pork was very nice, had a lot of good flavour and pork was cooked beautifully. pork ribs were not too bad, and were very tender. felt that it was slightly aggressive in seasoning, a bit too salty. egg tofu was a bit too plain to my liking, but it wasn't oily which was good and i can taste egg in the tofu subtly. fried rice was overcooked, rice was mush and didn't taste that good sadly. dumplings were quite nice, respectable amount of pork filling. overall, some things that they can improve on but a very solid job. will come back again. staff were generally very pleasant and friendly, the place is beautiful and clean to eat
extremely consistent restaurant! love the lu mian and the garlic cockles here. their new oyster menu features fresh, large oysters and i enjoyed the spicy fried oysters. the mantou and meat dish was average but everything else (including their signature chilli) was amazing!
