Au Croissant
Nice place for a break on a busy day. Some tables comes with plugs for you to do your work. A good touch was they warm the croissant up when you're dining in making nice and fluffy. Comparing the size of the croissant to the price, it is very reasonable and it is not full of air. Must try the almond croissant and the dark chocolate croissant.
A popular location to study amongst students, they come in flocks and occupy quite a number of seats. Gave this place a try since the croissants looked pretty good in the display cases. Unfortunately, their drinks and croissants are nothing to shout about, definitely overpriced for the quality of food and drinks. The ice blended triple chocolate drink was not fully filled when it came, lol. Tables are not cleared on time by the staff even though they had enough manpower to manage - we had to clear the table and wipe it clean ourselves before sitting down. It will be our first and last time visiting Au Croissant.
First time in my life I saw so many croissants in one place😀 Honestly, I didn't try any of them because I just came in for a coffee before skating. But the coffee here is very tasty and in cups of different sizes. I took a latte with caramel syrup. I was pleased with the specialty cup. Now, the next time I come here, I will definitely try a croissant. It's nice to be here, clean tables and very comfortable chairs, there are even books on the shelves, which you can read during the visit. Pay attention to the breakfasts and lunches offered in this cafe.
this place finally just re-opened after many months of renovation. that is great news because I missed the place. now, there is more seating area in addition, they shifted the bakery shelves displaying their pastries inwards inside the shop. it also seems like they offer more pastry products now and all look real good. this is a nice place to sit and have pastries and snacks and drinks. their croissants are nice. prices are also reasonable in terms of the size and taste of their pastries. I have not tried their drinks before and would love to do so one day. they used to sell their croissants at promotional prices during certain hours of the day. good value for money when such deals are ongoing. I usually buy a lot of their items when there are such deals. I am not sure if such promotions are still ongoing though.
Unfortunately, Au Croissant was a big disappointment for me. It’s an easy 1-star rating. The prices are way too high for what you actually get, and the quality doesn’t live up to the cost. I expected much better, but the croissants were subpar—nothing special in terms of taste or texture. For the premium pricing, you’d think they would be fresh and flaky, but that wasn’t the case. The overall experience just didn’t justify the cost, and there are definitely better options out there at more reasonable prices. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you want to overpay for something that doesn’t deliver on quality.
