Love the fish here! The lunch deal was really yummy and generous for 2 pax. There’s a Free drinks counter and I recommend the cold premix one, rather than the ones you mix yourself with cold or hot water, flowers and dried orange peel. Value for money and we will be back again

Walked by and saw that there was a nice lunch deal on offer, even on a weekend. We got the crab roe grilled fish which was quite worth as it also came with 5 prawns. The deal came with a plate of stir fry mushrooms too as well as 2 bowls of rice. This place offers unlimited drinks; which was either orange peel or rosella tea. Love it. Overall happy with our lunch.

Not giving full scores for service and atmosphere coz what kind of perfect service and ambience does one expect at a grilled fish place? 是要跪下来帮你穿围裙还是要边上菜边用海豚音唱大鱼？So nothing to shout about nor complain about in terms of atmosphere and service BUT the fish was 🤯. I think this place really making Tanyu look bad 🤭 coz I really liked Tanyu at first but I think I will only return to Tanyu for bbq skewers now if I can get grilled fish from BLai. The smokiness from the grilled fish is intense, and for those that cant take spicy broth, the crab roe garlic is perfect.

My second time here, and I really loved their version of green pepper fish. We added several extra sides, plus a cold dish and a dessert to share, and it came up to about $30 per person for four adults — we were absolutely stuffed. The only downside? There’s no storage space for bags, so mine now smells like fish.

The $36++ lunch set for 2 pax (available until 5pm weekends) offers solid value. The star is the green chili grilled fish (kao yu): properly dry rubbed and grilled before immersion in that intoxicating broth, it was fragrant with surprise red onions and warm spices that lend an almost curry-like aroma—addictive paired with rice, though leaning a little too oily. The seasoned mushrooms were earthy and well-seasoned, a simple but satisfying side. Skip the lamb skewers, was hungry and wanted a little extra, they’re pricey, lean, and lack plump juiciness. Service impressed: one solowaiter effectivly managed the entire dining room during our 3pm weekend visit with warmth and efficiency. A great option for flavorful, shareable Sichuan-inspired fare in Suntec, especially if you prioritize the fish set and don’t mind the oiliness.
