Chocolate Origin

Drop by here to have meeting with my friend who also incharge as my property agent. Nice tiny store, with good Hot/Ice Chocolate drink and cakes. The server also nice girl to help, this outlet located inside Bishan J8 Mall.

Saw that they had a 1 for 1 deal for their chocolate drink and decided to chill there for tea break. However, it was a pretty disappointing experience as the drinks tasted pretty average, and the chocolate lava cake’s texture was on the drier side. At least the deal made it slightly more worth though.

I wanted something sweet so I decided to check out Chocolate Origin. The lady in charge of the shop was very helpful and gave some recommendations. I decided to get the Matcha Lava Cake which is their new flavour. When I received the cake, I was a little shocked as it wasn't as green as the display. The cake's texture was like a steamed cake/kueh with a thick liquid-y center. The matcha was light and not bitter. The sweetness was good, not too sweet. The ice cream was nice and chilled. Overall I prefer the chocolate one instead of the matcha flavour.

Hands down one of my best fudgy dark chocolate cake! Though it might look dry (in the photo) but it is definitely not.

I bought a chocolate lava cake because i had a bad day. And when i picked up my lava cake the service staff told me sorry the cake is soft, lava came out abit okay i took the cake and when i reached home. The cake continue to broke further. You made my day even worse now thank you
