Hot Tomato
Hot Tomato at Causeway Point is one of our favourite places to dine. We’ve visited many times, and the service is always excellent. The staff are very welcoming, cheerful, and full of positive energy. They even remember our names, which makes every visit feel special. Our child also loves them because they work so well as a team, always helping one another and staying friendly. Dado, Reymay, Aishah, and Rio all do their jobs perfectly. Hot Tomato is truly lucky to have such amazing staff. We will definitely keep coming back again and again — not only because of the outstanding service but also because the food is always served hot and delicious.
The food was really good and portions were decent! Fries and onion rings were really crispy, while the steak was cooked really well and was tender! The tomato soup was really delicious and definitely worth getting. Definitely recommend!
I finished my mushroom soup and finished half of my spaghetti but my hot tea still haven't serve. I checked with the Filipino male staff that looks like "manager", whether missed my hot tea order. This Filipino male staff asked me: am I order hot beverage? If yes, normally they will serve me after I finished my main course. I asked him: is that only this branch practice this way?! I normally visited to Hot Tomato at Jurong Point and the beverage no matter hot or cold, always served in the 1st place. I saw other tables that with hot beverage also been served before main course. This is really ridiculous excuses. My hot tea served when I almost finish my main course. Another bad experience was my hot tea served using the cracked cup. Hot Tomato Causeway Point really a worse place for dining. Not recommended and will not visit again.
Service can be quite slow during busy hours, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. The menu feels like a hit-or-miss situation. I had the pork ribs, which were tender and fell off the bone easily. However, the portion was huge, and I struggled to finish it. So it’s pretty value for money. My partner, on the other hand, ordered the mixed grill sampler, which was really disappointing. The chicken and sausage had absolutely no flavour. You’d expect better consistency in food quality from a restaurant, but unfortunately, this place didn’t deliver on that.
Not expensive for the amt of salmon and pasta given. They also have that table side cheese service so you can have as much cheese as you want. Pasta got a bit jelat at the end. Service was p quick tho they initially got our order wrong
