Jack's Place NEX

Service is fast and speedy with smiles, the staff are attentive and responsive, and the food quality we got here was rather good! We have had jack’s place at other outlets, and I must say we enjoyed the food here best so far. The staff here really move fast, it’s cool to see. When another customer had issues with her soup, they promptly had it fixed, and were very polite even though they were asked if they had just served the same bowl that was returned. We’ll come back again soon, I think I like this outlet best.

Classic western food to go for at a casual mid-tier restaurant. The service staff were very nice; best thing is definitely their baked potatoes which came plain at first. Then a staff will come by with a tray of sour cream, bacon bits & spring onions, which you can then add on, up to your satisfaction!

I come to Jack's Place once a year with my elderly parents and husband to redeem our Great Eastern rewards. In the past, the vouchers were physical, so it was much more straight forward. However, ever since the change to all digital, it has been more cumbersome. This year, we were served by Nicholas Aw during dinner and we are so thankful that it's him who helped us. Despite the troublesome process, he was very patient with my elderly parents (70+ years old) and continued assisting us with a smile. My husband and I truly appreciated how he never once made us feel like we were slow, 'leh cheh', or burdensome. On top of it all, service was also very quick. I was really glad to see my ice cream intact this year 😂 Honestly the food is mediocre at best, but with such service staff, I'd definitely be considering Jack's Place for meals again even without vouchers/rewards. Kudos to Jack's Place for having such pleasant service staff members!

Laid-back service on a Friday noon. The restaurant was only 1/3 full. There were three attending servers in the dining area but none was alert. It was difficult getting attention at the podium, and when we wanted to air our queries. After being assigned a seat, we were informed the soup of the day was carrot soup. Turned out it was CREAM of carrot after we checked further with one of the servers. This mattered to us because my companion is lactose intolerant. Yet the restaurant failed to express this information clearly. We had the New England fish & chips and a tenderloin on hot plate. It was disappointing that the hot plate which the steak came in was NOT sizzling. The server left the steak plate and left, totally forgotten about the toppings for the baked potato. We had to call for assistance. The spring onions topping was dried out. The music in the restaurant was loud making it hard to talk. There was a strand of hair among the old menu pages. With the subpar dining experience, it would undoubtedly be better to dine at other restaurants in the mall.

Jack Place @ NEX really felt like a cozy, old-school gem 🍳☕. Walking in, I was transported back in time, like a vintage scene straight out of old-school dates from my parents’ generation 💌✨. The warm atmosphere and friendly staff (except for 1 grumpy auntie) made it feel even more nostalgic. I redeemed my AIA birthday voucher for their fish & chips 🐟🍟 — crispy, golden, and absolutely delicious! I also tried their beef steak with onions 🥩🧅, tender and full of flavor. To refresh, I had their aloe vera drink 🥤 — light, slightly sweet, and very rejuvenating! Would recommend for those who love nostalgic touch!
