Paik's Noodle
Value for money. Good serving size and excellent dishes. The fried chicken was tender and did not fry until it hardened. The rice cake was soft and chewy, gravy was delicious. The zhajiangmian was above average and sauce was really good.
Dining at Paik’s Noodle @ Suntec City was a real delight. From the moment the bowl of jajang-myeon arrived, you could tell the noodles were handmade with care: a pleasing chew, a fresh springiness that set them apart. The rich black-bean sauce hugged each strand perfectly, delivering that comforting savoury depth one hopes for. The jjamppong was equally impressive — a generous broth bursting with seafood, pork and vegetables, the faint wok hei aroma lingering in the air, teasing the palate before the first slurp. Spicy, bold but balanced. As for their tangsuyuk (sweet-sour pork), it was a standout. The batter was crisp and light, the meat tender, and the sauce brought just the right amount of tang and sweetness without overwhelming the dish. A great choice whether you dip or have the sauce poured over. Combined with the bright, open-kitchen environment and the view over the fountain at Suntec, this is casual dining elevated by thoughtful execution. I’ll happily return — not just for the brand or hype, but because the food truly delivers.
Jjajang myeong is not bad, sauce is tasty and noodle is firm. Yangnyum chicken flour to chicken ratio is too high, resulting in quite a dry taste. It’s not spicy at all too. Tang suyuk is much better. Goes very well with the sweet plum sauce.
Ordered 1 x Feast Combo and 1 x Jjajang Myeon. Love their Jjajang Myeon and Separate Sauce (Tang Suyuk) so much! Definitely comparable to those Korea restaurants at Tanjong Pagar street.
The soy garlic chicken was cold when it was served. After we feed back to the staff, it was brought back to the kitchen. Later it came back to us drenched with more sauce. It is warmer, however it became soggy and very salty. It turn from a soy chicken into a soggy salty chicken. It was a bad experience and I don’t remember we encountered such poor standard. I feel sorry for you Mr Paik. References: Picture 1 & Picture 2
