Nice environment but difficult to find the place. Suntec City Atrium, near to Information Counter, 2nd level. 1st time tried the buffet lunch. Liked the chicken satay, beef rendang, Pisang goreng, bobo hitam, cuttlefish kangkong, fried popiah and chicken wings. Kueh kueh , only 2 types per time, not nice. Crabs, sauce too sweet and starchy, average. Nasi Lemak chilli average but nice fragrant nasi. Range of food not much. Only drinks- lime drink and warm water. Surprised no coffee and tea offered, need to order. Paid $40+ for senior. Food are tasty.

First time trying Penang food at Penang Place restaurant. Overall, the food was good – highlights for me were the Asam Laksa, beef rendang, and lobak, which were all delicious. The char kuey teow was decent, though still hard to match the authentic Penang taste. For desserts, the bubur hitam was tasty, but the cendol was quite ordinary. We went for à la carte, and while the food was worth it, service was a little on the slow side. The restaurant was quite full with buffet diners, so it was a bit hard to get the staff’s attention.

This was my 1st visit to Penang Place since they relocated to Suntec City. Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. The Char Kway Teow, usually a must-try, was already "wiped-out" when we arrived around 12:30pm. When it was finally replenished, it was cooked plate by plate and simply poured into the buffet tray, rather than served fresh in a full batch. It did not taste as good as before and really needs to be eaten hot to be enjoyed. The Assam Laksa and Hokkien Mee soup were also disappointing. At least, the Chicken Satay, Assam Prawns and Durian Pengat were good. Perhaps it was a Sunday and the standard dropped? For the buffet price of $39.90++, it is still worth to try.

An Exceptional Dining Experience at Penang Place! From the moment we walked in, the warmth and hospitality at Penang Place made us feel completely at home. The food was outstanding — authentic Malaysian flavors, generous portions, and beautifully presented dishes that truly celebrate the cuisine. A special mention for the satay — honestly, the best satay I’ve had in my life! Perfectly grilled, tender, and paired with a deliciously rich peanut sauce. Every bite was unforgettable. And of course, a heartfelt thank you to Kevin, for his exceptional hospitality. His attention to detail, warm personality, and genuine care elevated the entire experience. A restaurant that delivers not only incredible food but also sincere service — highly recommended! We’ll definitely be back soon. — ★★★★★

Have been visiting Penang Place on and off since they were located in Jurong. Food was overall pretty good, desserts were in my opinion the weakest part of the buffet lineup. Char Kway Teow is their signature item and it shows. It gets snapped up within minutes they replenish the tray. Kids below 5 eat for free and seniors get a nice 20% discount.
