Popeyes The Woodleigh Mall

The place had no crowd, hence I entered as I wanted a quick meal. Waited for almost 30 mins for my food eventually. The whole kitchen only had one staff preparing food, and the staff seemed overwhelmed as she was walking to and fro without taking anything. Chicken came hot and tasted good. Advisable to come here only if you had lots of time to spare.

I ordered a large coleslaw for $4.30. It came in a ‘large container’ but was only half filled. Realized it after I came home. Wasn’t the first time I purchase it as a take away but I don’t remember the portion ever being so little.

Tried Popeyes Louisiana Fried Chicken recently through a promotion. Normally I would give this place a pass as it seldom draws much of a crowd. Surprisingly, the fried chicken was quite tasty—crispy and flavorful. Unfortunately, the spaghetti pasta was a letdown, though I didn’t have high expectations for it to begin with. The biggest disappointment was the biscuit—stale, dry, and powdery. Totally unacceptable. The overall dining experience was underwhelming. The communal tables were dirty, and the floor felt sticky, which makes one wonder about the general upkeep. Unless there's serious improvement in both food consistency and cleanliness, this outlet may struggle to stay viable in the mall

Everything came more or less hot, which was great. Chicken was nice but not as flavourful as we would’ve liked. Fries were okay. I like the biscuit, it was buttery and reminds me of McDonald’s hotcakes. Only two staff were present and we waited ~15min for our food. Overall it was okay. I expected much worse based on the other reviews, but maybe I got lucky :) [Visited Dec 2024]

we went on 4th april around 930pm. the service by the manager was so good! he was very polite and talked very nicely when we resquested for our preferred chicken parts instead of being annoyed. i felt bad because they were closing soon and we were requesting chicken parts as someone that has worked in fnb i understand how annoying it wouldve been but he was rly nice about it and showed 0 annoyance! its so rare to have a fast food place with this kind of service nowadays. chicken was juicy and good.
