My overall experience was acceptable. However, I was disappointed with the tomato mala soup. The flavor was not authentically mala, and the broth was so weird that I needed to drain the ingredients before eating. Unfortunately, the taste was quite poor. I would recommend either significantly improving the recipe to capture the authentic mala flavor or considering removing it from the menu, as it currently falls short.
I came for their off-peak special promo, $15.99 for adult on Mon-Thurs (2.46pm - 4.45pm) The staff was very attentive and accommodating, always checking on me if I needed any assistance. They always refill the food selections! The ingredients are fresh and value for the price ☺️
I love this place. Me and my boyfriend’s go to hotpot place. I love their sesame and peanut sauce! Must try!!! It’s main the reason why I’m hooked to this place 😅 Soup: Always, most of the time, sukiyaki and spicy. Their kimchi stew is also nice. Meat: Hit or miss. Sometimes beef tastes better than the pork, sometimes vice versa Sauce: 1 scoop peanut sauce, 1 scoop of sesame sauce. My go to sauce. You can add on other condiments to your liking (e.g. garlic, coriander, spices, etc.) Seafood: Mid but still good. I think it’s relatively cheap also Service: They are very helpful. They walk around a lot to check on diner’s tables - to take empty trays, ask for soup, and generally to help you out. They are friendly and approachable.
Had a great dining experience at Shabu Sai! The customer service was exceptional—special thanks to Floven and Melanie for being so attentive, friendly, and so accommodating. The food was delicious with a wide variety of fresh ingredients, and the ambience was cozy and relaxing. Everything was clean and well-maintained, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended and definitely coming back!
