WOK HEY Junction 8
For 6 dollars egg fried rice what can I say? Is edible and affordable in a shopping center take away. Can eat when in a hurry especially the packaging is small and compact to carry
Attrocious. My order time wasn’t even peak dinner hour yet the few guys at this branch can get my order horribly wrong. I paid for additional 4 sous vide eggs but got only 1 portion. Same error for my other order where I paid for 4 additional portions of tobiko egg but got only 1 portion. Was really looking forward to enjoying a hearty meal but I’m now majorly disappointed and couldn’t continue with my meal anymore. I’m going to bring my order untouched, back to the store tomorrow. 😡 Staff attitude was also bad. Guy had a very stern tone when I tried taking my order without informing the staff and also when telling me to check my order before leaving. I’d checked the order slip before taking so I knew what I was doing. I understand the staff had considerations to prevent misunderstandings or stealing of food but his rude tone and dour facial expression were totally off-putting. I don’t normally order from this outlet - should’ve just gone to my usual Nex branch to order. Such a breeze to order there and some lovely workers as well. At Junction 8 outlet, I pay to have my order wrong and suffer bad attitude from the shop employees. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
I ordered the egg fried rice with prawns. Appreciate the variations of options for toppings to add or take away. Efficient and quick service. Food: Unfortunately I'm going to start with the downside of this dish, which is that I think the rice was slightly undercooked. Felt that some grains were hard in the middle. Think I also caught a little bit of unwanted egg shell crunch here and there, haha. Otherwise, it's really tasty. It's seasoned nicely, the prawns are springy. Would be even better if the above were improved upon! Service: Totally understandable because it was in the evening, but it would have been nice if the staff I collected from was a little nicer. Either way, appreciate the work!
Getting lunch for work tomorrow after the SG60 celebration crowd had just made it's way back to J8 after the festivities was a bad idea. Too crowded and far too noisy! However, the service itself was good and pretty fast, no complaints! Food should be tasty as usual! 😋😁
You're able to order and pay online via their website before heading down to collect the food when it's ready. Saves time. Consistent. Decided to try a less oil no salt option and they fulfilled it! Won't recommend doing that unless you're trying to be healthy though because it doesn't taste good. Stick to their usual orders for nicer tasting options HAHA.
